R esponsibilities

Draft concept site plans for project site books.

Use computer assisted engineering and design software to create engineering and design documents.

Review project CSI and any available third-party reports to gather necessary information for project design.

Modify and revise concept site plans as information regarding setbacks, overlays, utilities, and other issues impacting civil engineering become known.

Research codes, regulations, products, and design techniques when relevant and report back to AM/DM.

Review comment letters and plan sets provide feedback on value engineering options

Review resubmittals and provide feedback of completeness to DM.

Attend project and department meetings, as necessary.

Other duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a civil engineering program at an ABET accredited engineering school with the goal of obtaining a bachelors degree in civil engineering.
  • Completion of a minimum of one (2) years of engineering coursework.
  • Knowledge of scaled site design using ariels.
  • Familiar with Bluebeam, CAD, or other design software.
  • GIS experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
