We’re seeking 3 Desktop Engineers to join a national healthcare services organization on a long-term project with the potential to convert to full-time employment. This role is onsite in North Phoenix and plays a key part in maintaining and improving desktop infrastructure across a secure, regulated environment.


What You’ll Do

  • Design, implement, and maintain desktop infrastructure projects.
  • Define and enforce desktop standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide Tier II/III support for escalated desktop issues.
  • Manage desktop imaging and deployment using SCCM and Intune .
  • Support end-user devices, including desktops, laptops, printers, AV, and telephony.
  • Administer internal and third-party applications (ticketing, VDI, secure file transfer, etc.).
  • Collaborate with vendors for maintenance, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards (e.g., NIST, CIS ) and participate in change management efforts.


What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in desktop engineering or similar roles.
  • Strong background with Microsoft 365 , Windows 10/11 , and security patching.
  • Hands-on experience with SCCM , Intune , and Active Directory/GPOs .
  • Familiarity with MDM and virtual desktop (DaaS/VDI) environments.
  • Knowledge of security, licensing, and compliance frameworks.

+ Develop operational concepts, requirements, and architectural designs; evolve system architectures, conduct and analyze requirements flow down, propose verification methodologies and mitigation approaches.
+ Conduct model-based systems engineering and modeling, simulation and analysis as needed.
+ Conduct and maintain Configuration Management of the program technical baseline.
+ Manage risk management processes and methods for identifying and adjudicating program risk; Conduct analysis to identify program risk areas and recommend/implement risk reduction measures.
**Qualifications**
**This is you:**
+ Bachelor's degree in an engineering, mathematics, physics or equivalent technical discipline and nine (9) or more years of systems integration and systems engineering related or equivalent experience.
+ Experience with the following:
+ Leading combined hardware/software and, or space/ground integration activities.
+ Using model-based system engineering tools and methods.
+ Systems Architecting and lifecycle support.
+ Implementing agile development techniques.
+ Applying Agile and/or DevOps development processes.
+ Must have an in-scope security background investigation (T5 or SSBI), adjudicated for SCI eligibility and enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation program (if applicable).
+ Must be willing to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartment Information and Special Access Programs and willing to consent to a Polygraph examination.
**Desired Skills:**
+ Advanced degree in engineering, science or related technical field.
+ Experience within the National Security Space and, or the Space Control mission area.
+ Experience working in development environment and, or U.S. Government weapons system program office.
+ Professional certification (e.g., Professional Engineer, INCOSE CSEP, ITEA CTEP, Agile PM/PO, etc.).

Job Duties:
+ Work as a member of the team to Design, develop, and implement enterprise-level applications.
+ Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code adhering to best practices and coding standards.
Job Qualifications:
Must have 5+ years of experience with the following:
+ Analysis, development, and writing code. Proven experience in developing Applications and Websites using, HTML, CSS, JavaScript libraries, Java/Open JDK v11 and up, C#. Extensive experience in building RESTful APIs and working with microservices architecture.
+ Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) and design patterns. Solid understanding of relational databases (SQL). Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and performance tuning tools.
+ Full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering and design to deployment and maintenance. Utilize Azure DevOps for code management and governance.
+ Contributing to overall system architecture and design scalable solutions. Developing robust technical ecosystem across applications, leveraging third-party integrations and application interfaces. Maintain software applications, including upgrade, enhancements, and patches.
+ Must have an interest in utilizing GenAI tools and frameworks for streamlining development and solving specific use cases.
Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)

The base range for this contract position is $35 - $65 per hour, depending on experience.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
