**Description**
ARA is seeking experienced civil engineers, with emphasis in research related to geotechnical engineering and geotechnical asset management, to work full-time in our Transportation Infrastructure Division.
This is an on-site position working in an ARA office in one of the following cities: Champaign, IL; Ventura, CA; Madison, WI; Austin, TX; Mechanicsburg, PA; Egg Harbor Township, NJ; Elkridge, MD. Please indicate your location preference(s) in your application.

Required skills:
+ Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering.

+ Proven experience of independently leading research projects or research tasks/activities.
+ Strong communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills. Publications in peer-reviewed journals and relevant conference presentations a plus.
+ Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
+ Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance as needed for job duties is desired. No current clearance is necessary.

**Electrical Engineer**
**Scope**
The Electrical Engineer I or II is responsible for the planning, design and development of electrical test fixtures that are used in the development and manufacture of electrical medical products. The Electrical Engineer must show initiative to solve technical problems and may operate with moderate direct supervision.

- Contribute to the design & development of new products, engineering test equipment & manufacturing fixtures.
- Participate in the product development cycle providing input on design for manufacturability design for testability, electrical best practices etc.

Develop and maintain automated test procedures using LabVIEW for data collection, analysis, and reporting.

**Typical Background**
**Education:**
- Typically requires Bachelor's degree in specified discipline plus 5 or more years' relevant work experience or a Master's degree plus 1 years experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
