**Job Description**
**AECOM is seeking an experienced mid-level civil/environmental engineer to work in the Environmental Business line with an engineering design group on projects involving Integrated Facility Closure.** This position involves working on projects that will encompass initial environmental site assessments of industrial facilities all the way thru decommissioning and demolition. Projects will also include site remediation and post-remediation site development, solid waste management, stormwater design/management, and oversight of construction services, for a variety of industrial and power clients across the U.S.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited university. and 6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education.
+ Required to travel (25%).
+ Professional Engineer license in the State of Ohio and/or other states with the ability to obtain an Ohio license within 6 months.
+ Valid driver's License.

**Preferred Requirements:**
+ Demonstrate advanced knowledge in developing site/civil plans and drawings, including advanced experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D: Create Civil 3D surfaces & grading; process and evaluate raw survey data; create alignments, profiles, sections, and pipe networks.

The engineers on this team are a core design group dedicated to serving Data Center clients and similar major commercial programs. Summary: The Civil/Structural Engineering Department Manager serves as Senior Civil/Structural Engineer on project work for clients and supervises the work of the civil/structural department personnel. The Department Manager assists the project and administrative management teams with resolution of issues related to personnel scheduling and ensuring that discipline project work is completed within budget and schedule. Qualifications - Education/Experience:


Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university; Professional Engineer (PE) license and Industry related training certification(s).

Twenty (20) or more years working in at least three (3) of the following service areas: Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Polymers/Resins compounding, and Manufacturing -OR- Ten (10) years of relevant consulting work.

Ability to provide professional seal for governmental permitting procedures.

Advanced knowledge of building codes as they relate to civil/structural design.

Experience in acting as project manager on civil/structural based projects.

Ability to obtain data from field observations, including working at heights via ladder or personnel lifts as required.

Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines and have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in using Microsoft Office, STAAD, STAAD Foundation, Bluebeam and AutoCAD. Familiarity with Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, Tekla Tedds, Hilti PROFIS, RAM Elements and other engineering or drafting software is helpful but not required.

Optional experience: basic surveying for determination of project elevations using level and/or total station equipment; limited stormwater/sewer design for small-scale in-plant systems or extension of existing systems; familiarity with the implementation of laser scanning in project design.

**Description**
The Staff Civil Engineer will work on project teams to create world class designs for new projects, alterations and redevelopments on a variety of projects including power, process, corporate, healthcare, pipeline airports, institutional, industrial, manufacturing, government and military facilities. The Staff Civil Engineer will work with the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting civil plans according to budget constraints, design factors or client needs.
+ Perform civil design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.

**Qualifications**

Summary: The Civil/Structural Engineering Department Manager serves as Senior Civil/Structural Engineer on project work for clients and supervises the work of the civil/structural department personnel. This position provides leadership, technical engineering support, and guidance for the discipline team members. The Department Manager assists the project and administrative management teams with resolution of issues related to personnel scheduling and ensuring that discipline project work is completed within budget and schedule. The Department Manager will ensure that project services and deliverables meet Chemstress quality standards and technical standards required for each clients project. This individual is expected to fulfill the requirements of the position and understands that the design process includes visiting clients facilities where they may be expected to perform physical work.

Qualifications - Education/Experience:


Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university; Professional Engineer (PE) license and Industry related training certification(s).

Twenty (20) or more years working in at least three (3) of the following service areas: Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Polymers/Resins compounding, and Manufacturing -OR- Ten (10) years of relevant consulting work.

Ability to provide professional seal for governmental permitting procedures.

Advanced knowledge of building codes as they relate to civil/structural design.

Experience in acting as project manager on civil/structural based projects.

Ability to obtain data from field observations, including working at heights via ladder or personnel lifts as required.

Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines and have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in using Microsoft Office, STAAD, STAAD Foundation, Bluebeam and AutoCAD. Familiarity with Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, Tekla Tedds, Hilti PROFIS, RAM Elements and other engineering or drafting software is helpful but not required.

Optional experience: basic surveying for determination of project elevations using level and/or total station equipment; limited stormwater/sewer design for small-scale in-plant systems or extension of existing systems; familiarity with the implementation of laser scanning in project design.

+ Performs a self-check of work products prior to submitting to others
+ Performs technical quality reviews including documentation in project record in accordance with policies and procedures
+ Assists with proposals to provide services or obtain funding for projects or programs
+ Work is accomplished autonomously on small projects or portions of larger projects within established procedures and practices
+ Generally free to determine work priorities based on direction from manager and project team leads
+ Begins to interact directly with client to gather information and discuss project requirements
**Qualifications**
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent engineering degree plus four (4) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
+ Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification
+ Demonstrated experience using Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD), AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or similar design highway or transportation design applications
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Design experience with PennDOT and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike projects
+ Experience in civil engineering with an emphasis on Roadway, Drainage, Traffic, Site-Civil projects
+ Demonstrated experience with spreadsheets, word processing, and standard office software (MS Office)
+ Ability and willingness to offer mentorship to various levels of staff
+ Ability and willingness to operate within a hybrid work schedule environment with hybrid teams
+ Professional Engineer (PE) License in any state, or ability to obtain PE within 1 year of hire
+ Degree accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET
