Verdantas has an immediate need to fill a senior-level civil engineering position. The position involves managing studies and designs for water resources projects. The ideal candidate has the following characteristics:
-Foundational experience as a project engineer producing final design products and study analyses and deliverables
-Good communication skills with staff and with internal and external clients
-Good organization habits, time management, and budget management
-Good record of project successes as demonstrated by repeat business from one or more clients
-Good references
-We'll consider candidates from outside our area willing to relocate
What you bring:
-BS degree in Civil Engineering
-PE Registration in California, or ability to obtain CA registration within 1 yr
-10+ years of experience in the civil engineering field
-Potable drinking water experience
Additional capabilities desired but not required include:
-Potable water treatment, infrastructure design and master planning
-Wastewater collection design and master planning
-Stormwater system design and master planning
**Salary Range:**
$140,000-$200,000

**The Opportunity**
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
+ **Lead Electrical design** for water/wastewater projects
+ Provide technical guidance on client standards and expectations to engineering and technician staff in the regional design centers that are supporting project detailed design
+ Serve as technical expert in electrical power distribution and miscellaneous plant electrical systems for client consultations
+ Support business development related to enhanced Electrical services
+ Build business relationships with clients to understand needs and drivers
Additional Project Opportunities:
+ Studies - Energy Optimization, Power System Coordination and Arc Flash Hazard Analysis, and Electrical Reliability Analysis
+ Construction inspection and resolution of electrical construction issues
+ Coordination with local electrical utilities on project technical needs
+ Review of supplier submittals
+ Act as a liaison between the local design team, client and remote design teams for Instrumentation and Control design
+ Startup and testing of major electrical equipment   
The ideal candidate is located in or willing to relocate to Irvine, Los Angeles, San Marcos or Murietta Metropolitan areas. Office locations linked - or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.

This team partners with our customers to align their people, processes, technologies, and data analytics in the face of industry transformation. We help our customers leverage our industry-leading solutions and expertise to modernize water infrastructure, optimize asset use, meet performance goals, reduce costs, and mitigate risk no matter where the water industry goes next. This team is ranked in the top 10 by ENR for Water Design Firms in Water Supply and Sewer Waste and other water-related rankings.

**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Professional Engineer's license in CA or another US jurisdiction
+ 5-8 years in electrical design, planning and construction services
+ Consulting and Water/Wastewater experience preferred
+ Experience in medium and low voltage power distribution equipment, including variable frequency drives and standby diesel generators   
+ Understanding of PLC hardware and software setup, network configuration, HMI,  SCADA system, instrumentation and fiber optic cabling
+ Experience in a client-facing/business development role
+ Power system analysis experience in SKM, ETAP, or other analysis software a plus
**Minimum Qualifications**
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 5 years related work experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
