A leading organization in the manufacturing sector is seeking a Commodity Manager to join their growing team. This role is responsible for driving sourcing strategy, supplier performance, and total cost improvements across global operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement global commodity strategies aligned with operational goals.
- Lead supplier selection, development, and regular performance reviews.
- Negotiate Master Supply Agreements to ensure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery.
- Monitor commodity markets, lifecycle trends, and industry transitions.
- Optimize the end-to-end supply chain and drive lead time reductions.
- Oversee supplier scorecards, quality audits, and compliance reviews.

- Strong grasp of procurement processes, quality tools, and risk management.
- Ability to travel up to 30% (domestic and international).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills at all levels.

- Experience with engine components and related manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP platforms.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies.

About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented, results-driven Project Manager Engines, High Speed to lead the execution of critical engine service projects . In this role, you will oversee the direction, coordination, implementation, and successful delivery of complex, high-impact projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, strategies, and budget commitments. You'll work cross-functionally with service teams, administration, clients, contractors, and OEM representatives to deliver exceptional project outcomes.
This position is ideal for a highly organized individual with a strong background in project management within the electrical, mechanical, or industrial services industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement critical engine-related service projects in alignment with business objectives
- Define project scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables
- Identify resource needs across multi-branch service teams
- Collaborate with service administration to manage project tasks
- Ensure profitability, efficiency, and budget adherence across all projects
- Monitor and report on project progress through detailed status updates
- Ensure thorough documentation and compliance with factory commissioning standards
- Establish best practices for streamlined future project execution
- Serve as liaison among factory representatives, contractors, clients, and internal teams
- Coordinate seamless handoffs from sales to service for project start-up
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Manager
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and tools
- Proven ability to develop milestone-driven project plans that ensure timely delivery
- Exceptional organizational and leadership skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Hands-on experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar)
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt in a dynamic environment
- Degree from a University, Community College, or Trade School preferred (can be waived with relevant experience)
- 4+ years of experience as a project manager or in a related role
- 4+ years of experience in the electrical, construction, mechanical, or industrial service industry
- PMP certification is a plus
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Ability to travel up to 25% to customer and project sites

+ Determines project scope, develops a preliminary plan of investigation, and determines project specifications such as cost, time, and sample requirements by analyzing client input, available supplemental data, and product construction.
+ Projects may include travel to conduct or witness tests at client sites. Initiates communication with clients to promote and explain the benefits of new and existing services.

+ Establishes appropriate test programs by reviewing files and manufacturer's information, examining samples, and applying UL requirements.
+ Is familiar with applicable standards, company manuals and appropriate technical literature.
+ Examines samples for compliance with UL requirements and notifies client of any areas in which the product is not in compliance or of any changes in project scope or specifications.
+ Coordinates laboratory activities by preparing data sheets and instructions to technicians, scheduling and reviewing work of laboratory technicians and engineering assistants and establishing completion dates.
+ Coordinates administrative aspects of project management.
+ May serve as Project Handler of record and/or Reviewer of record as assigned.
+ Communicates project status and results to clients through frequent contact and by preparing reports.
+ Prepares Follow-Up Service Procedures and information pages.
+ Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
+ Resolves engineering issues associated with Variation Notices by analyzing and reporting on the acceptability of the variations.

The estimated salary range for this position is $75,000-85,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).

Lead collaboration with multi-functional teams to achieve successful product outcomes
