As a Senior Tax Liaison (C) within PNC's Trust Tax Compliance organization, you will be based remotely in Cleveland, OH or Pittsburgh, PA. This role has a quarterly in-office requirement in Pittsburgh, PA including additional in-office days during the month of April.
This role requires that you hold and maintain either a CPA, or Enrolled Agent designation, or a JD degree. If you currently do not hold one of these credentials, you would need to successfully obtain one of these credentials within one year of your start date.
As a Senior Tax Liaison, you will work within the Fiduciary liaison team (trust tax) and the Estate Liaison team (estate settlement). You will work and communicate with an assigned group of tax preparers from an outside accounting firm and PNC Fiduciary Advisors who manage those accounts, serving as the Liaison between the two. Your responsibilities will include managing email flow, as well as handling new account openings as well as account closings. You will ensure that new account are funded correctly, reviewing trust documents and prior years returns.

**Job Description**
+ Coordinates with outside vendor who prepares tax returns in order to meet fiduciary compliance needs. Provides information required by outside vendor to prepare returns; consults with vendor regarding moderate to complex tax issues; and advises vendor of PNC's position regarding tax preparation and filing matters. Acts as liaison between outside vendor and internal front office personnel. Reviews returns prepared by outside vendor prior to filing or as part of quality check of filed returns upon request.
+ Prepares appropriate tax forms for filing with federal, state and local jurisdictions as needed. As requested, may perform secondary review of tax returns of moderate to high complexity level.
+ Reviews new accounts and codes for correct tax preparation. Works with outside vendor to ensure new accounts are properly coded and set up in tax preparation system. Reviews trust instruments, wills and other documents to ensure accounts are being reported and taxed properly. Reviews assigned accounts for generation-skipping transfer tax issues and assists less experienced Tax Liaisons with these reviews.
+ Assists outside vendor with tax notices and taxing authority audits and inquiries related to client accounts and works with vendor and in-house and external counsel in resolving issues.
+ Reviews client account activity, receipts, disbursements, death notices, corporate reorganizations and exchanges, and other corporate actions in client accounts to ensure correct tax reporting by outside vendor.
+ Participates in in-house and external training to enhance technical knowledge and to maintain professional credentials and certifications.
+ Serves as a resource to less experienced tax accountants on matters of routine and non-routine nature, including but not limited to account set up, generation-skipping transfer tax reviews, and account closings. As requested, may perform secondary review of outside prepared returns of moderate to high complexity level.

We are seeking to add a tax intern to our tax operations team. This role provides support for our federal and state income tax compliance and planning. This role will gain exposure to a wide variety of income tax concepts, including book to tax adjustments, state by state conformity rules, estimated tax cash forecasting, state apportionment sourcing, as well as a legal entity reporting for LLC's, partnership and corporations. Primary duties for this role will consist of overseeing the corporate tax function and compliance, managing the tax team, overseeing tax filings/reporting, assisting with tax provision calculation, coordinating/reviewing the preparation of federal tax returns, create and implement strategic tax planning, manage federal/state/local tax audits, and prepare financial statement tax disclosures as needed. To be successful in this role, Tax Compliance Manager must have the ability to review and prepare complex tax returns and implement company procedures, possess strong written and verbal communications skills, and adaptability to regulatory changes and industry trends.

· Banking, Financial Services and/or Investment industry experience preferred
· CPA preferred

DECA Analytics is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Tax Director (or Director- level candidate) to lead and expand our growing tax function. This individual will play a critical role in overseeing complex compliance operations, advising clients on tax optimization strategies, and strengthening the team infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

1. Tax Compliance & Filings

  • Oversee preparation and timely filing of all major Puerto Rico tax obligations, including:
    • Incentive Income Tax Returns
    • Volume of Business Declarations
    • Personal Property Tax (CRIM)
    • Exempt Annual Reports & Annual Corporate Reports
    • Informative Returns (480 series)
    • Sales & Use Tax (IVU) returns
    • Professional Services Quarterly Returns
    • CFSE filings
    • Coordinate and manage the preparation of U.S. Federal Income Tax Returns for applicable entities.

2. Tax Consulting & Advisory

  • Entity Structuring & Optimization:
    • Advise on tax-efficient corporate structures using Puerto Rico incentives.
    • Conduct cross-border structuring and IP ownership evaluations.
    • Design optimal subsidiary and holding company structures.
  • Cross-Border & International Tax Planning:
    • Analyze cross-jurisdictional tax implications.
    • Develop strategies for global effective tax rate (ETR) minimization.
    • Assess treaty applications and manage PE risk.
  • Tax Accounting Advisory:
    • Oversee deferred tax accounting related to Puerto Rico tax incentives (ASC 740).
    • Provide internal compliance oversight and audit readiness support.

3. State, Local, and Indirect Tax Advisory

  • Advise on municipal tax compliance, incentives, and CRIM exemptions.
  • Negotiate tax reliefs and packages with local authorities.
  • Analyze indirect tax implications (IVU, VAT, excise).
  • Identify optimization and credit opportunities for indirect tax exposures.

4. Intellectual Property Tax Strategies

  • Design tax-efficient IP ownership and licensing frameworks.
  • Support valuation methodologies and manage intercompany IP transactions.
  • Optimize incentive utilization through IP placement.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  3. 8+ years of experience in tax consulting or tax leadership roles.
  4. At least 3 years in a managerial or director-level position.
  5. In-depth knowledge of Puerto Rico tax laws, filings, and incentive programs (Act 60 and related).
  6. Proven experience in international tax planning and entity structuring.
  7. Familiarity with R&D tax credits is a plus.
  8. Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
  9. Exceptional communication, leadership, and client engagement skills.
  10. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
