Frontier-Kemper, a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking a **Field Engineer (Entry-Level)** to join our Kensico-Eastview Connection Tunnel Project in **White Plains, New York.**

Frontier-Kemper Constructors is the general contractor for the Kensico-Eastview Connection Tunnel Project. The scope of the approximately 1.1 billion contract entails the construction of a new deep rock tunnel between the Kensico Reservoir and the Catskill/Delaware Ultraviolet (CDUV) Light Disinfection Facility, both in Westchester County, New York. The new tunnel will provide an additional means of conveying water between the Kensico Reservoir and the CDUV Facility, enhancing operational resiliency and redundancy for New York City's water supply system.

**DESCRIPTION:**
As a **Field Engineer (Entry-Level)** at Frontier-Kemper, reporting to the **General Superintendent** **,** you will have the opportunity to:
+ Review project plans and develops a construction schedule in coordination with project-wide activities.
+ Coordinate with subcontractors on advance material acquisitions and pre-construction deliverables
+ Develop and assist with obtaining quotes and draft contracts to meet project requirements.
+ Prepare construction work plan packages and coordinate pre-construction meetings while ensuring that all prerequisites to start construction activities are identified and completed.
+ Prepare, update, and distribute work activity schedules/updates, and communicates across discipline groups and agencies to ensure proper advance notifications and coordination of start times.
+ Monitor and participate daily in field construction process. Provides layout checks and technical reviews of work against requirements. Obtains confirmations from design engineer as needed
+ Assist with subcontract administration and permanent material suppliers through monitoring of correspondence, submittals, RFI's, and performance records; Maintains accurate payment records.
+ Assist in preparing monthly reporting for progress payments, schedule updates, and problem/issue tracking and resolution. Provides accurate and factual assessments of project performance.
+ Participate in change orders and claims management
+ Identify and resolves changing site conditions or other impacts during planning of the work
+ Develop quality checks and coordinate permits from appropriate entities
+ Manage and submit project close-out in coordination with the client and third parties
**REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or similar, from an accredited institution
+ Heavy Civil construction experience preferred
+ Experience with AutoCAD
+ Knowledge of construction safety and current federal & OSHA Requirements.
+ Project controls techniques (i.e. cost accounting, basic estimating, forecasting, and contracts)
+ A strong working knowledge of the critical path method and resource scheduling.
+ Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and Primavera P6.
+ Strong organizational and time management skills.

The EDP supplements this work with one-on-one mentoring, training sessions, field trips, and special assignments within 15 areas of study - These assignments allow EDP engineers a chance to become familiar with all of the different types of engineering work that ERCOT has to offer. EDP management helps each EDP engineer, based on their experiences and skills, prepare for a future career path in power engineering.
Monitors the implementation of changes, additions and updates to the ERCOT Transmission Grid and associated network models. Develops, maintains, and supports business software, data formats, associated interfaces and the processes and procedures guiding the use thereof. Completes assignments, gains sufficient knowledge and achieves proficient skill with the concepts, practical methods and operational processes related to phases 1 and 2 of the Engineer Development Program (EDP) curriculum. Works closely with other departments that are responsible for application parameters as well (including but not limited to EMS, MMS, CRR, and Planning).
**Essential Job Duties**
+ Analyzes transmission network data including Transmission Element parameters. Work closely with ERCOT System Operations, System Operations Support, Market Operating Services Support, Client Services and Metering
+ Works with load flow and other analysis software to provide accurate power system models and associated cases
+ Supports detailed model changes delivered by Network Operations Model Change Requests (NOMCRs) to maintain an accurate Network Operations Model and other models contained within the ERCOT modeling system
+ Validates the database and test the models and associated power flows
+ Maintains and supports database infrastructure, model data exchange interfaces, and data export formats
+ Represents the ERCOT ISO at the ERCOT level
+ Coordinates and works with the NDSWG (Network Data Support Working Group) members on data exchange and transmission network model maintenance via the NOMCR process
+ Reviews and develops methods to increase model accuracy including data comparisons and validity checks

**Responsibilities**
+ Performing engineering work in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure
+ Work on engineering planning and design projects
+ Prepare reports
+ Develop plans and specifications
+ Prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater projects
+ System modeling
+ Permitting and alternative analysis
+ Preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables
+ Data entry and analysis

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering
+ Minimum academic requirements include coursework in physical, chemical, and biological processes; hydraulics; and principles of water and wastewater treatment plant and infrastructure design
+ 0 to 4 years of directly-relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering
+ Engineer-in-Training certification
