**Job Summary:**
This position is responsible for leading project environmental task and requirements, working with team members to collect data and develop project plans from initial stages to final engineered projects. Tasks include preparing reports, plans, evaluation of field conditions, field verifications, design changes, and monitoring reports. Drafts exhibits and detailed dimensional drawings including at times two-line and 3D drawings as required for completion of project designs and associated details.
**Primary duties & responsibilities:**
+ Perform environmental and civil related field work including general ecological assessments and field data mapping
+ Provide technical environmental regulatory assistance to team and clients
+ Perform desktop research and regulatory agency contact to determine mitigation actions or advance permit issuance
+ Design, draft, and process various environmental and development related plans and permits including but not limited to stream restoration plans, erosion and sediment control plans, grading plans, site plans, stormwater management, construction phasing plans, utility plans, and road plans
+ Compile various technical reports including applying for permit modifications and renewals.
+ Perform NPDES/Sediment Control inspections and construction monitoring as needed
+ Report to managers regarding various drafting, planning, field, and permitting work
+ Communicate with regulatory agencies at the discretion of managers
+ Familiar with all field safety requirements
**Required qualifications:**
+ 3-4 years of previous environmental design experience
+ Experience with Environmental Assessments, Feasibility Reports, and Permitting
+ Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, landscaping architecture, or related field from an accredited university
+ Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products
+ Working knowledge of AutoCAD software (2D and/or 3D)
+ Strong communication and customer service skills
+ Unquestioned business and personal integrity
+ Must be able to travel to project locations (10% travel) as needed for field work and onsite meetings.
