The candidate will be responsible for conducting and managing Phase I and Phase II environmental investigations, soil and groundwater remediation, project scheduling, staff mentoring, budget control, and meeting and interacting with clients and regulatory agencies, including familiarity working with the US Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Toxic and Substances Control, the Regional Water Quality Control Board and the local Environmental Health agencies. What You Will Be Doing:

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering; Geology or Hydrogeology; Geoscience-related degree.
  • EIT or GIT is required.
  • P.E or P.G. certification is preferred.
  • 5-10 Years of relevant experience in the field of environmental assessment/remediation.
  • Experience performing and/or reviewing Phase I ESAs.
  • Knowledge or experience in RCRA and CERCLA processes (RI/FS, RD/RA, ROD, LTM) and documentation.

POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to join our Environmental Construction Support Services team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience providing environmental services and developing strategic solutions for projects involving the siting, routing, permitting, and construction of electric transmission lines and substations, renewable energy facilities, and/or midstream pipelines. This position offers a remote opportunity based from the cities listed below.Employees may travel to office for periodic meetings.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
Responsibilities include coordinating project team's work and deliverables, monitoring schedule and budget, business development, and interfacing with internal staff and clients. Other responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
+ Project Manager of energy-related projects
+ Manage multiple projects at various stages, disciplines, and locations ranging from pre-construction permitting and processes through to construction compliance
+ Interface with internal and external project managers/staff, clients, and sub-contractors
+ Client coordination including project scope, budget, schedule, and forecasting
+ Business development and proposal writing
+ Prepare, review and submit environmental construction planning documents to clients
+ Prepare, review, agency coordination, and/or assist clients with submittals for federal, state, and local permit applications
+ Participate in field reviews, project compliance inspections, and site meetings.
+ Travel up to 25% of the time for client and project meetings
**Required Education/Experience**
+ BS degree in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Wildlife Management, Engineering, or a related degree
+ Ten (10) + years of experience coordinating or managing environmental permitting and planning and/or providing construction compliance for energy-related projects
+ Must have skills in project management, technical writing, and NEPA regulatory compliance as it relates to construction
+ Working knowledge and demonstrated experience in federal and state environmental policy and regulation is required
+ Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with clients, defining and understanding client requirements, managing expectations, communicating with project staff, and department management
+ Interest in pursuing and capturing work under existing contracts, generating business development leads, preparing proposals and presentations, and capturing project work
**Desired Education/Experience**
+ MS in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Construction Management, Business Administration or a related degree
+ Previous utility background and experience
+ Experience in proposal writing and presentations a plus
+ Environmental compliance management and/or implementation on linear infrastructure projects
+ Experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus: electric transmission lines and substations, energy storage, renewable power generation facilities, and/or natural gas pipelines

**What You'll Do:**
+ Manage all aspects of due diligence assessment, environmental monitoring, and reporting activities with full responsibilities for multiple projects for a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate, industrial, institutional, and public sector clients
+ Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with peers, junior staff, clients, and vendors to develop scopes of work, written proposals, and final deliverables
