Job Description
The Environmental Compliance Manager assists multiple facilities in assuring compliance with federal, state and local environmental regulations and provides environmental technical support for various engineering and operations projects and facility operations.
Essential Job Functions:
* Provides technical, procedural and policy support for environmental construction and operation permits and applications
* Provides environmental support for engineering and operations projects
* Maintains relationships and performs as liaison between the corporation and facilities with regulatory agencies
* Maintains current regulatory knowledge of applicable current and proposed environmental regulations, statutes and interpretive guidance.
* Assess environmental compliance status at various facilities and provide related training.
* Assists facilities in the completion of required environmental testing, recordkeeping and reporting requirements. Reviews completed reports for completeness and accuracy.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Knowledge of regulatory, industrial, and technical knowledge relating to Federal, State and local environmental permitting requirements (CAA, CWA, OPA, NPDES, RCRA, etc.)
* Effective written and verbal communication required
* Computer literacy including basic word processing, spreadsheet skills including MS Office software package
* Analytical thinking, negotiating and problem solving skills
* Ability to organize, prioritize and complete multiple work assignments while meeting deadlines
* Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms etc.
* Ability to travel (approx. 15%)
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science or equivalent is required
* Three years plus of environmental compliance experience and/or training is required
* Industrial experience is a plus

This Environmental Compliance Specialist will be based at the corporate office and involved in environmental compliance at UniFirst locations across the United States and Canada. UniFirst’s laundry operations have, as applicable, wastewater discharge permits, air emissions permits, and other environmental compliance requirements as may be required by local, state or federal laws.
Responsibilities:
• A working knowledge of environmental regulations.
• Compiles, maintains, and evaluates environmental data
• Assists our laundry locations with data collections and reporting
• Experience with wastewater and air permitting application processes
• Work as a liaison between UniFirst and Local, State, and Federal agencies
• Ensure the on-time filing of accurate reports to agencies
• Work in conjunction with other corporate offices and provide the environmental compliance perspective relative to upgrading and changing system and processes
• Demonstrate and assist with good environmental practices at locations
• Perform compliance audits in conjunction with local managers and provide input for corrective actions
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from accredited four-year college required, emphasis on Environmental Science or Engineering
• Work experience in environmental compliance of wastewater, air emissions and/or stormwater
• Knowledge of environmental sampling procedures and laboratory analysis
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to interact with management, outside consultants and governmental entities
• Professional and helpful attitude
• Willingness to collaborate with others and problem-solve
• Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain reasonable deadlines
• Travel up to 20%

**Job Description**
AECOM has a position available for an experienced Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) & Air team located in Germantown, MD. This position will manage and complete environmental compliance related tasks, programs and plans to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and support programs and projects associated with environmental due diligence. The successful applicant will have a working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, environmental permitting, and strong technical writing capabilities.
+ Competency in environmental regulatory programs including the CAA, RCRA, EPCRA, and CWA (NPDES, SPCC, and SWPPP)
+ Provide technical support to internal and external customers related to environmental projects, processes, audits, and compliance.
+ Ensure policies and procedures for the general operation of the business unit's compliance programs.
+ Competency in environmental due diligence; must qualify as an ASTM Environmental Professional and be able to write, review, and sign Phase I Environmental Site Assessment reports.
+ Ability to develop and manage Phase II environmental site investigations including water, soil, and air sampling, investigation techniques, and procedures.
+ Effectively communicate with all levels of a project team and attend client meetings, as requested.
+ Client facing experience in building client relationships and assisting in business growth.
+ Ability to organize, oversee, support, and mentor junior level employees and client personnel.
+ Project management experience. Successful candidate is expected to complete training and obtain AECOM's Project Manager Certification within 1 year of employment.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide environmental compliance consulting services to government and commercial clients
- Work with an interdisciplinary environmental compliance team to provide audit services across the U.S.
- Serve as an environmental auditor to evaluate diverse facility types for conformance to federal, state, and local regulatory standards
- Act independently and as part of a multi-media audit team to ascertain compliance and recommend appropriate action to assure compliance and/or return to compliance
- Assist with the development of findings, recommendations, and corrective actions to mitigate environmental hazards across various environmental media, including but not limited to, air emissions, potable water, water pollution control, hazardous materials management, solid and hazardous waste management, toxic substances control, etc. "
"Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Knowledge of environmental regulatory standards and programs
- Knowledge of regulatory program areas, including air emissions, potable water, water pollution control, hazardous materials management, solid and hazardous waste management, storage tank management, and toxic substances control
- Expected to travel 85% or more of the job time (which will be part-time)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft SharePoint, and must be willing to learn custom auditing software systems
- Must have a valid U.S. driver's license and be able to pass a Federal background investigation and obtain security clearance to work on site at Federal facilities
- Drug screen required for this position
Education and Experience
- BA or BS Degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience with performing audits and inspections, supporting compliance with applicable Federal, state, and local regulatory standards

Insight Global is seeking an Air Quality Environmental Compliance Specialist in the Four Corners (Durango, CO) to join a growing midstream oil and gas company. This is a direct hire salaried position. This position manages environmental compliance from conception to completion and requires strong communication skills. Coordinate and provide environmental technical support to field operations, engineering, & regulatory personnel. Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental regulations, permits, authorizations, and agreements. Interface with regulatory and jurisdictional stakeholders particular to the asset team (SUIT, Jicarilla, COGCC, NMED, OCD, EPA) Participate in the project planning and development through all stages to facilitate communication of project impacts between all stakeholders. Manages consultants as required in the development of specialized permitting (air, water, waste) Coordinates routine compliance inspections with operations for air permits and participates in external audits as required. Maintains files for air permits and compliance reporting. Serves as a member of the companys emergency response team and be involved in the spill management program. Serves as team lead or SME in company Root Cause Analyses in efforts to identify actionable recommendations to improve system safety, integrity and compliance. Ability to advise the company on scalable air compliance or EMIS systems. Develop and manage tools and templates to manage the collection of environmental compliance information.

Skills and Requirements
7+ years in an environmental air quality role
Experience with state and federal air compliance permitting/programs (Title V, MACT, NESHAP, etc.)
Experience with state and federal reporting requirements (OCD Rule 28, NMED Ozone Precursors Rule, Greenhouse Gas, Annual and Semi-Annual Emissions Inventory, Tier II)
Ability to evaluate, research, and interpret governmental regulations, equipment performance manuals, regulatory agency guidance and instructions, reports, correspondence, and company policies and procedures
Familiar with SPCC plans and implement SPCC program at regional level REM, CEM or other environmental or technical certification
