QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing Program and licensed as a professional nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Experience: 2 years experience in CCU, ICU, ED and/or Cardiac Cath Lab is preferred. Critical Care nursing or extensive on-the-job training in the Cardiology realm of Medicine is required. Medical terminology is required. BLS is required.
Other Skills:
-Requires proficiency with computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
-Must be able to work in a constantly changing environment.
-Must be extremely flexible.
-Must be able to work with a team consisting of physicians, nurses, technicians, secretarial staff and other hospital supporting departments and personnel.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the research process and application of regulatory requirements as they relate to assessing, planning, implementing, documenting, coordinating and managing all activities related to clinical trial activities and protocol requirements as delegated within the scope of a clinical research coordinator.
- Effectively work and communicate with all workforce members (PI, Medical Staff, Nursing, Administration, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Radiology, Medical Records, etc.) and with patients, families, visitors and the public.
- Comply with all applicable research regulations, privacy regulations and site-specific practices, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain accurate and complete study and subject research files with attention to timely data collection and entry as well as adherence to all reporting requirements and timelines
- Actively participate in and support departmental and organizational quality initiatives and goals and assist with mentoring and training study team members

We are currently seeking a Medical Research Associate to join our diverse and dynamic team. As a Medical Research Associate at ICON, you will be responsible for meeting/greeting clinical research volunteers as they come into the clinic, checking their vitals (height, weight, blood pressure, BMI), and essentially making sure the study participants are healthy enough to participate in the clinical trial according the protocol of a study.
**This is an onsite PRN role.**
**What you will be doing**
+ Your compassion and dedication will be at the forefront as you take vital signs and perform phlebotomy on study subjects, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the research process.
+ You will be entrusted with following our clients' protocols when conducting vital sign assessments and phlebotomy procedures.
+ Joining us means being part of a collaborative environment where your active participation in meetings and other assignments will be valued and recognized.
+ Your role will extend beyond the clinical aspects as you chaperone study subjects during their breaks outside, offering personalized care and ensuring their comfort.
**Your profile**
+ A strong command of both English and the host country's language is essential, enabling effective communication and collaboration.
+ A High School Diploma or G.E.D. qualification
+ If you possess an undergraduate degree in a clinical or health-related area, or have equivalent work experience in a similar role, we want to hear from you.
+ 1+ years of work experience in a medical or clinical field is preferred
+ If you hold certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) or Phlebotomist Certification, it will be a great advantage
+ Preferred Background: Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medication Aide, Telemetry Technician, or Laboratory Technician backgrounds are highly desired
