Job Description

We are looking for energetic, creative, and enthusiastic Retail Shop Associates to join the Equinox team at its state-of-the-art locations in Connecticut (Greenwich CT, Darien, and Southport)  This is a great position for a candidate looking to make a significant impact in a growing and dynamic organization.

The Shop Associate provides a total and unparalleled customer experience to all visitors Equinox and Shop visitors. The Shop Associate takes direction from the Shop MOD on business strategy and action plans to ensure maximum productivity and compliance with all company policies and procedures. The Shop Associate also assists with the timely and accurate completion of operational tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

SALES & SERVICE:

  • Achievement of assigned monthly sales goals (individual contribution to total monthly store goals
  • Maintain knowledge of all club and Shop services, programs and products

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE:

  • Understands and upholds all loss prevention and inventory management policies on a consistent basis
  • Ensures personal comprehension of all communication and training materials, and assists Shop MOD with timely/accurate completion of all assigned operational tasks

PRODUCT & PRESENTATION

  • Assists Shop MOD to ensure that The Shop is reflective of the company brand standards, i.e., through assisting with execution of merchandising and marketing direction, and through adherence to The Shop dress code
  • Maintains excellent housekeeping and organizational standards on sales floors, at cash wraps and in stockrooms
Qualifications

  • Experience in a customer service business; preferably in retail and/or hospitality
  • Hardworking and diligent, possessing both honesty and personal integrity
  • Excellent time management, organizational, problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to utilize new techniques and ideas

Job Description

We are looking for energetic, creative, and enthusiastic Retail Shop Managers-on-Duty to join the Equinox team at its state-of-the-art locations in our Westchester clubs.  This is a great position for a candidate looking to make a significant impact in a growing and dynamic organization.

The MOD helps direct and motivate the sales team in one Equinox Shop, ensuring the highest level of customer service, a total customer experience, and operational excellence. The MOD takes direction from the Regional, District or Area Shop Manager and the Assistant Manager on business strategy and action plans to ensure maximum productivity and compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

SALES & SERVICE:

  • Achievement of assigned monthly sales goals (individual contribution to total monthly store goal)
  • Coaches and develops Shop Associates in selling tactics, tools and understanding key business metrics
  • Ensure an unparalleled customer experience for all visitors to The Shop and to Equino
  • Maintain knowledge of all club and Shop services, programs and products

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE:

  • Understands and upholds all loss prevention and inventory management policies on a consistent basis, and ensures total team adherence to these same policies
  • Ensures both personal and team comprehension of all communication and training materials, and timely/accurate completion of all assigned operational tasks
  • Assists Regional, District and/or Area Shop Manager with hiring, training, coaching and development of Shop staff
  • Assists Regional, District and/or Area Shop Manager with scheduling and shift coverage

PRODUCT & PRESENTATION:

What You'll Need:

  • Ability to build relationship with members
  • Excellent customer service and promotional skills; energetic, enthusiastic, and motivational
  • Extensive knowledge of fitness, cardiovascular training, nutrition, and program design
  • Demonstrate exercises and adjust machine weights, free weights, and cardiovascular equipment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to operate a computer and Microsoft Office software (Word and Excel)

Member Experience:

  • Develop safe, professional, exciting and comprehensive personal training programs to ensure clients are satisfied with their workout program and remain motivated to attain their personal fitness goals
  • Monitor and instruct clients during personal training sessions on the safe and effective use of strength training equipment, cardiovascular and flexibility.
  • Educate members on current health and fitness issues and trends
  • Conduct fitness consultations for new clients including pre-participation screening, medical history, lifestyle questionnaire, and goal setting to assess and recommend personal training programs
  • Deliver personal training programs based on the client's ability and goals
  • Complete and maintain accurate and current client files
  • Fulfill member service requirement, up to 30 hours per week -- duties may include the following:
  • Fitness assessments
  • Floor service, to include member service calls
  • Educating members and clients in supplements and offer proper solution to attain fitness goals

Sales & Promotion:

  • Promote and sell Edge Fitness programs, services, and products, to include:
  • Edge Strong Classes
  • Edge Evolve
  • ES Fit Supplements

Financial:

  • Responsible for achieving or exceeding monthly revenue and session goals
  • Develop and maintain a personal training client base

Managerial & Supervisory:

  • Complete all administrative requirements associated with each client's fitness plan
  • Attend all PT department, "all club", and one on one meetings
  • Complete all assigned Edge Fitness University courses
  • Remain current on certifications and new trends in the industry
