What are we looking for?

The Technician I - Equipment Handling position will support the Electrical business by providing support for engineering staff, including performing duties related to routine testing, maintenance or clean-up. We're looking for technically competent individuals who will follow and enforce all safety requirements/company policiesand provide exceptional customer service. What you'll do:

  • Set up test, test equipment and test apparatus.
  • Prepare test samples.
  • Perform basic analysis of test data, equipment calibration data and routine calculations.
  • Interact with customers in a professional manner including appearance and attitude.
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience to all customers.
  • Diligent safety practices, knowledge of OSHA standards, and use of safety equipment as required by management.
  • Work closely with lead/ crew members and take direction to complete projects within certain policies and procedures.
  • Daily cleanup and maintenance of projects, work equipment, work site, vehicles and organize all tools and materials.
  • Perform site survey activities with a team.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety.
  • Troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment (DMM, Power Supplies, Dielectric Testers, Oscilloscopes, etc.).
  • Equipment Asset Management.
  • Perform other work as required.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 0 years of experience
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Ability to use basic shop equipment and various hand tools

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Performs the necessary functions of operation in order to ensure orders and inventory will be received, picked, packed, shipped and stored accurately. Must be detail-oriented, accurate and able to follow directions, work well with team members and exercises good judgement & common sense in all aspects of the work. This job has no supervisory or travel responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for operating the following equipment, sit down forklift, order picker, reach truck, turret truck, standup forklift, pallet riders and other material handling equipment, as necessary.
  • Operates RF equipment to successfully perform daily functions.
  • Operate Material Handling Equipment to pick, move and put away products as required.
  • MHE Certification on all equipment. (will train and certify)
  • Picks eaches, cases and full pallets for store orders using Material Handling Equipment.
  • Unloads new products and places in staging area to be received and split out.
  • Unloads and loads freight as necessary.
  • Put away new products in the appropriate storage racks.
  • Performs moves for pallets and cases throughout the Distribution Center.
  • Keeps locations free of empty pallets.
  • Follow all warehouse and Farm & Home Supply Safety procedures and policies.

  • Ensures that all PO's are received and split in an accurate and timely manner.
