Reporting to the SpecOx Team Lead Engineer, the Equipment Installation Specialist is responsible for designing and installing all SpecOx systems at ChemTreat customer sites.
This position is part of the Field Service Consultant team and will be remote.
**What you'll do in this role:**
As part of our SpecOx team, you'll lead and support projects that bring advanced chlorine dioxide (ClO₂), MCA, and chemical feed systems to life. A typical day combines hands-on technical work, project management, and customer collaboration.
+ Partner with consultants, vendors, and customers (power plants, paper plants, steel plants, food and beverage and more) to design and install chemical feed systems that meet the highest standards.
+ Manage projects from start to finish - from pre-installation site surveys to coordinating contractors, timelines, and equipment needs.
+ Collaborate with Application Engineers, helping them succeed in the field and ensuring projects are delivered on time.
+ Work on process piping and system redesigns, bringing creative solutions to improve safety, efficiency, and compliance.
+ Collaborate with sales teams and customers to resolve challenges, establish timelines, and ensure customer satisfaction.
+ Maintain the highest levels of safety, craftsmanship, and documentation while working on customer sites.

JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION ESTIMATOR
LOCATION: Auburn Hills, MI
OBJECTIVE
The function of the Estimator position within our Estimating and Pre-Construction team is to work with engineers, specialty consultants, and sub-contractors to establish detailed construction estimates. Project sizes typically range from $25,000 to $100,000,000 USD and may include a combination of construction management, general contractor, and design/build type projects. Some travel may be included in the role.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Bid Administration
- Review subcontractor bid packages and clarification letters.
- Transmit bid documents, addenda, and other pertinent bid information to subcontractors.
- Ensure proper coverage from subcontractors on Bid Day.
- Utilize creativity and resourcefulness to gain better pricing from subcontractors.
- Manage the overall bid/proposal submittal process to ensure the owners requirements and deadlines are met no exceptions.
- Review and approve Bid Form and supporting documents on Bid Day for completeness and accuracy prior to submission to owner/owner representative (i.e. last set of eyes).
- Work and coordinate with Estimating Support.
- Prepare subcontracting MBE / Diversity Plan if required.
- Comply with all CCC ISO Standard procedures.
Project Knowledge
- Review bid requirements thoroughly and ask follow-up questions as needed.
- Thorough understanding of the scope for specific trades assigned.
- Develop RFIs and clarifications and ensure adequate subcontractor coverage.
- Perform a comprehensive "Bid Day Analysis and scoping of specific assigned trades.
- Create bid lists that fit the scope of the job, ensuring that we have the right subs for the project.
- Include value-engineering ideas on every bid.
Project Turnover
- Properly turn over bid documents and sub buyout information to Project Management in a timely manner.
- Review documents with the Project Management team and highlight areas of concern.
- Review job cost with the Project Management team and highlight any subs/material vendors that still need to be awarded.
- Complete project kick-off form to ensure compliance.
Subcontractor Award and Management
- Thoroughly check requirements to buy the proper scope.
- Seek & qualify new subcontractors.
- Award subs in a timely manner to ensure the release of materials.
- Ensure that subs commit to the project schedule.
- Solicit and maintain communication with subcontractors and vendors.
CORE COMPETENCIES
- 7+ years of Equipment Installation, Millwright & Rigging experience in automotive or equivalent markets.
- Combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable
- Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills are required.
- General Contractor, Construction Management project delivery experience.
- Must have above average competencies of Microsoft Suite Products:
- Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Travel may be required.

The Audio-Visual Integration Technician is responsible for pulling and terminating cables; understanding cable flow and installation; installing equipment and wall rack equipment reading wire diagrams; and programming proprietary equipment for the Company's clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Dress, label, pull, cut and terminate cables
- Installs, connects, and manages video routers and switches.
- Installation of cameras
- Identify cable types including, but not limited to: SVID, Composite, RBGHV CAT 5, CAT 6, SDI, Fiber, HDMI, DVI
- Mounts and dresses display of various sizes including wall panels.
- Programs various equipment.
- Troubleshoot client complex audio-video equipment.
- Manage inventory of repair and replacement parts including the recording of serial model numbers
- Completes and updates daily reports, project photos, timecards and project status.
- Partners with co-workers and management to provide world-class customer service to clients.
- Complete all assigned projects in a high-quality manner and in compliance with scopes of project assignment.

- Proficient with voltage meter, soldering iron, tone generator, multimeter, cable toners, striping cables and network cable testers.

- Ability to read, interpret, and communicate reflected ceiling plans, elevation drawings and room flow diagrams.
- Ability to identify and understand various source plates.
- Knowledge of basics of AC/D voltage
- Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to use various web-based portals.
- Ability to fit into tight spaces including ceiling access panels, closets, interstitial spaces
- Ability to quickly learn new computer programs and operate mobile devices
- Ability to make sound decisions and escalate matters quickly and efficiently.
