We have an immediate need for a mechanically inclined individual to join our team where you'll play a crucial role in maintaining our top-notch rental equipment, guaranteeing its immediate availability for safe utilization.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to leverage your mechanical knowledge to:
• Prepare rental equipment orders and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with our quality standards.
• Disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, reassemble and test various types of electrical, hand operated, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on rental equipment.
• Operate forklift to load and unload delivery vehicles and transport equipment within the warehouse as part of daily operations.
• Drive company vehicles to transport rental orders in a safe and timely manner.
Hours: Monday - Friday (8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) Occasional overtime may be required.
Location: Carlstadt, NJ
Minimum Starting Pay: $23.87/hour
*You may also be eligible for a $1.00/hour increase after 6 months of employment, plus annual performance increases at 1 year and each year thereafter.

Requirements
Education/Training : High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:

• Hand and power tool experience desired.
• Experience working on air hoists, comealongs, manual hoists, electric hoists or other rigging equipment beneficial, but not required.
Certifications/Licenses:
• Valid Driver's License with good driving record and the ability to meet insurance underwriting guidelines required.
• DOT certification required upon commencement of employment (at LGH expense); certification must be maintained. CDL NOT REQUIRED.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 55 lbs.

• Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on the PODS Lift System (Podzilla), including troubleshooting small engines, diagnosing 12V electrical issues using a multimeter, and repairing hydraulic components.
• Conduct lubrication of mechanical parts, metal grinding, cutting, and light tack welding as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and scheduled preventive maintenance using Fleet Maintenance Software and provide reports to management as needed.
• Train drivers in the proper use of the lift system to minimize unnecessary repairs.
• Travel between storage centers within an assigned territory, with occasional overnight stays as required.

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent or higher with minimum 2 years of electrical or mechanical industry experience, or in lieu of HS diploma or GED, completion of accredited trade school and/or program completion with 5 or more years of experience evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems
- Must be able to work in the US without corporate sponsorship now or in the future
- No relocation offered, candidates within 50-mile radius considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
- Must have a valid driver's license
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 1 year of field service evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems
- Electrical or General Contractor's License
- Professional Engineering License
- Experience in testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems
- Experience performing power quality measurements, troubleshooting, analysis as well as protective relays
- NICET/NETA certification
