Responsibilities:
+ Operate and maintain a wide variety of mechanical tools
+ Perform routine operating functions and troubleshooting on all equipment
+ Repair damaged equipment back to good working order by applying mechanical knowledge to problem solve
+ Maintain production equipment in a manner that meets organization standards and ensures minimum equipment downtime
+ Research, evaluate, and recommend new maintenance equipment and tools to improve the capabilities of the maintenance team
+ Set, calibrate, or adjust equipment, machinery, and instruments so that it aligns with production specifications or instructions
+ Advise managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
+ Responsible for painting various surfaces as required and in accordance with established safety procedures
+ Performs all job duties according to OSHA standards
+ Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs

+ Prior experience using standard hand tools (hammer, pliers, screwdriver, etc.) and specialty hand tools (pipe wrench, soldering and welding equipment, etc.)

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Maintains a variety of mechanical equipment in good working order to prevent breakdown. Reads meters and gauges or automatic recording devices at specified intervals to verify operating conditions. Records data such as temperature of equipment, hours of operation, fuel consumed, temperature or pressure, water levels, analysis of flue gases, voltage load and generator balance. Maintains equipment by tightening fittings, repacking bearings, replacing packing, gaskets, valves, recorders, and gauges, plumbing, blow-down and washing of boilers, and cleaning or replacing burners, pumps, pipes, screens, strainers, or other components. Oils and lubricates equipment.Adjusts manual controls or overrides automatic controls to bring equipment into recommended or prescribed operating ranges, switch to backup equipment or systems, or to shut down equipment. Records operation and maintenance actions taken during shift in operator's logbook.
+ Inspects equipment at periodic intervals to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment or lubrication. Observe and listen to equipment for potential issues, taking corrective action.
+ Repairs mechanical equipment. Working as a team, requests colleagues' assistance with mechanical equipment repairs. Using judgement to switch to backup equipment/systems or shut down equipment.
+ Applies safe work practices including the safe handling of trade related chemicals, lock out/tag out and confined space procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment, and knowledge of electrical safety.
+ Responds to emergency mechanical and environmental situations, returning to the work place.

**Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:**
+ Troubleshoot, repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as passenger loading bridges/gate services in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operational manuals and manufacturer's specifications using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments.
+ Observe devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate and diagnose causes of trouble.
+ Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists or other lifting devices, hand tools and power tools.
+ Examine form and tester of parts to detect imperfections. Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rules, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments.
+ Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments using proper equipment/tools, as needed.
+ Repair or replaces defective parts, as needed.
+ Install special functional and structural parts in devices using hand tools.
+ Start and operate devices to test their performance.

+ Weekly and Daily cleaning of customer equipment.
+ Perform preventative, corrective, predictive and emergency maintenance, may require 24-hour availability for emergency response/support.
+ Provide accurate and timely reports of maintenance issues at the site. Maintain records of repairs, time spent, part usage and other information for historical data, as directed by customer using Maintenance Connection and CMMS.
+ Notify management of any abnormalities, which may impair the proper functioning of the equipment before the equipment breaks down.
+ May use cutting, brazing, or welding equipment to repair equipment, as required.
+ Must be regular in attendance at work location during scheduled work hours.
+ Must maintain a safe workplace.
+ Must comply with Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures.
+ Must comply with all personal protective equipment requirements.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
**Maintenance Technician Qualifications:**
+ High School diploma or GED equivalent.
+ Valid Driver License.
+ 2+ years' experience in equipment maintenance and maintenance operations.
+ Possess mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting.
+ Ability to read and interpret manufacturer instructions regarding repair and maintenance of passenger loading bridges.
+ Understanding of PLC Control systems a plus.
+ Familiarity with Airport operations a plus.
