Must be willing to train on Dayshift, 6:00am - 6:00pm, Monday - Friday, for at least 3 weeks

**Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:**
- Restoring machine to operating conditions during machine runtime failure in a team setting
- Complete reactive maintenance on production lines to recover from equipment failures by repairing mechanical, electrical, and structural components
- Create retrofits and fabrication, complete machine tear down/repair and assembly and work on PLC's, VFD's, and electric motors
- Conduct creative problem solving to identify and perform equipment improvements
- Participate in special project work on equipment upgrades or installations
- Work with team members and operators to ensure the daily production schedule is met
- Plan, lead and execute preventative maintenance (PM) according to PM schedule to minimize equipment downtime
- Maintain partnerships with team members and vendors using effective communication
- Provide break relief to production operators or team members as needed
- Operate a forklift as needed to complete duties
**Qualifications**
**Key qualifications include:**
- High school diploma or GED; additional technical training or certifications desired
- 3 or more years of previous experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated sense of urgency in completing tasks and comfort working in a high-speed production environment
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills; PLC experience a plus
- Solid computer skills, including the use of Word, Excel, Outlook, SAP desired
- Experience with CMMS or ERP systems needed, SAP experience preferred
- Ability to work independently or with a team and communicate effectively
- Solid problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to coach others
- Able to move/handle 50 lbs. as needed while performing work
- Able to work with an awkward posture for 2 hours or more

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication, inspections, use of consumables, and ensure maintenance is completed on a regularly scheduled basis to maximize uptime of equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance to drive continuous improvements.
- Responding to equipment issues, assessing problems, and taking the appropriate action while communicating to all parties.
- Maintain continuous system operation by adjusting, repairing, replacing, or modifying components and sub-systems.
- Ensure that maintenance interventions are compliant with environmental, safety, quality, and manufacturer's guidelines. If necessary, take corrective actions and/or escalate compliance issues.
- Minimal disturbances of production processes and support for improvement opportunities regarding installations and equipment.

Required
- Minimum of five (5) years in equipment maintenance, facilities maintenance, and/or operations support. Prior experience in equipment maintenance is preferred.

- General understanding of PLC's and automation control sub-systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams including complex automated system drawings.

Job Description
VAM USA currently has an opening for Field Service Representative in the West Texas area. VAM USA is the world leader for premium connection solutions for the oil and gas industry with numerous production facilities, three leading edge technology Research & Development centers and a network for over 160 licensees worldwide.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
- Oversee and instructs various Service Companies and rig personnel in proper handling and make-up criteria for VAM USA products
- Supervises rig crews/casing crews in implementation and field evaluation of new products
- Perform critical inspections of VAM USA products on-site to field inspection criteria
- Provides procedural support and oversees control to ensure the product is installed and or maintained in the most efficient manner allowing the product to perform to its optimum design potential
- Follows up with customer's representative regarding past and upcoming jobs to identify potential areas of improvement and to continuously build positive relationships
- Responsible for service report fulfillment
- Accompany or assist sales with customer calls
- Responsible for maintaining and controlling all equipment and accessory inventory
- Verifies connection signature for acceptance or rejection and calibration of connection make-up equipment
- Responsible for ordering needed service equipment and ship equipment to job sites as needed
- Maintains and safely execute the Smith System of driving on company vehicles
- Available "On Call" in accordance with company policies and procedures to satisfy customer requirements
- Must follow all company policies, running procedures, specifications and safety standards
- Any other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience to meet skill level. Prefer advanced education
- Minimum 5 years in OCTG services
- Advanced knowledge of well completions
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, preferably SAP
- Ability to read, write and speak well in English and possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Ability to understand and execute instructions through strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be available for frequent extended travel both domestically and internationally
- Have a valid driver's license and good driving record
- Must be able to pass applicable testing as required
