The **Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineer** analyzes equipment histories, and trends; recommends and implements procedures, strategies, equipment, or designs that will eliminate defects and improve equipment and system reliability. The position also coordinates reliability program improvements and performs engineering in support of site operations and maintenance activities across multiple disciplines. This position provides technical support to the refinery to identify and eliminate equipment failures, improve the quality of new installations, operation of assets, maintenance repairs, and ensure work is done in accordance with required standards, best practices and applicable regulations and industry codes, and is responsible for providing guidance to management and organizational partners in respective field.
The Reliability Team was developed to focus on the refinery as a whole, to key in on specific issues with the greatest impact on overall refinery performance. The multi-disciplined team works to generate ideas and actions, working with area personnel, and drives them through implementation, to improve performance of 'bad actor' equipment and systems, identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation plans and long-term solutions, provide general oversight on project implementation, turnaround scope development, and maintenance prioritization.
**Responsibilities may include:**
+ Champion the Bad Actor and Vulnerability improvement processes through identification and implementation of mitigations and long-term solutions
+ Lead failure analysis and develop Cause Maps as part of the RCA process
+ Assist area discipline engineers with troubleshooting of long-term issues to identify defects and develop corrective and improvement recommendations
+ Optimize preventative maintenance strategies based on equipment criticality and history
+ Develop equipment asset strategies and champion reliability improvements through the implementation process.
+ Identifies key system reliability indicators and ensures they are monitored, analyzed, and acted upon to increase equipment operational availability
+ Maintain key Reliability metrics around equipment repair history, cost, lost profit opportunity, rework, etc.
+ Communicate Reliability concerns, solutions, and trends effectively to the organization
+ Provide cost estimates, secure equipment, and follow construction through to commissioning on certain reliability improvement projects
+ Periodic back fill for area discipline engineers and/or support for turnarounds
+ Willing and able to respond to and assist with unexpected emergencies and after-hour call outs
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
+ 5 or more years of experience in the refining, petrochemical, or related industry as Mechanical Engineer
+ Experience with compressors, pumps, steam turbines, and fans
+ Familiar with API codes that apply to rotating equipment, such as API 610, 618, 685, 686
+ Willing and able to respond to and assist with unexpected emergencies and after-hour call outs
+ Ability to manage a large workload and changing priorities
+ Knowledge of PSM

**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 7 or more years of experience working as a Mechanical/Rotating Equipment Engineer in the refining or petrochemical industry
+ Experience with SAP and Reliability Software (i.e., APM, Meridium)
+ Familiar with Process Systems monitoring and analysis software (i.e. PIVision, TopVIEW, Seeq, etc.)
+ Familiar with Data Analytics software (i.e. PowerBI, etc.)
+ Strong and effective communication skills (verbal and written) in both individual and group settings
+ Strong leadership skills and the ability to work well with others
+ Familiar with Reliability Principles (i.e. Weibull Analysis, Reliability Modeling, MTBF, etc.)
+ Experience developing Cause Maps and leading Root Cause Analysis teams

The **Wood River Refinery** is located in Roxana, Illinois, about 15 miles northeast of St. Louis, Missouri, at the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers. Refinery facilities include crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, alkylation, hydrocracking, hydrodesulfurization and delayed coking units. The refinery processes a mixture of light, low-sulfur; heavy, high sulfur; and high-acid crude oil. The crude supply is sourced domestically or from Canada. Wood River produces a high percentage of transportation fuels. Other products include petrochemical feedstocks, asphalt and petroleum coke. Refined products are distributed to customers by pipeline, rail car, barge and truck and are shipped to markets throughout the Midcontinent region.
The base pay range for this role is $111,600 - $160,700 depending on a candidate's relevant work experience and education.

What You Will Do

  • Provide technical support for heat exchanging process equipment (Shell and tube, fin fan air coolers, plate and frame exchangers,g-fins, etc.) within refinery & petrochemical operating business units with a goal of eliminating unplanned events and to maximize unit availability.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Rotating Equipment Reliability (RER) Analysts are responsible for coordinating and leading the machinery reliability program for their assigned process unit(s). These responsibilities include providing technical support/coverage for unplanned/emergency machinery situations, developing and implementing machinery solutions for the most critical machinery issues, developing long-term machinery reliability recommendations, conducting machinery diagnostic analysis and troubleshooting, and contributing to the implementation of system-wide reliability programs and strategies. The RER Analyst guides preventive and predictive machinery maintenance, determines root causes of machinery failures, and develops solutions to prevent a recurrence.
**Responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to:**
+ Critical Machinery Troubleshooting - Support maintenance and operations teams during troubleshooting efforts for high criticality equipment outages, focusing on restoring the equipment and plants to service while finding long-term fixes to prevent reoccurrences.
+ Record-Keeping - Document machinery history accurately and completely with an emphasis on root cause identification and scope of repairs. Maintains machinery files, prioritized worst actor lists, and surveillance information in an up-to-date fashion. Completes all associated paperwork (ACD, MOC, etc.) with design changes and upgrades.
+ Design Review - Analyzes machinery history for assigned areas and develops prioritized reliability improvement opportunities. Reviews new machinery installations to optimize machinery reliability through adherence to the Refinery and
+ Corporate specifications/standards. Provide support for HAZOPS, PHA, HSE, and Incident Investigations as required.
+ Root Cause Failure Analysis - Support formal loss investigations for equipment difficult issues, including seal failures of pumps, maintenance rework, and repeat failures.
+ Quality Assurance - Provides support to Construction Service Group and Zone Maintenance departments through the development and review of machinery repair checklists, preventive maintenance checklists, and maintenance procedures as necessary. Provides support to the Operations department through the development and review of operating procedures and checklists as necessary. Supports the safe commissioning of systems by ensuring that new or repaired equipment installations meet safety standards by participating in PSSRs.
+ Machinery Protection - Provides technical support to ensure that key mechanical equipment is adequately protected by reliable protection systems. Assists the Operations department in determining appropriate alarm and control limits for machinery.
+ Machinery Condition Monitoring and Surveillance - Performs routine condition monitoring and diagnostics of both "garden-variety" and major machinery, in addition to enhanced monitoring as dictated by machine condition. Performs visual surveillance of operating equipment and breakdown inspection of failed equipment. Evaluates machinery performance.
+ Tracks and ensures the quality of off-site shop repairs.
+ Respond to off-shift callouts for RER assistance regarding rotating equipment issues.
+ Provides turnaround and capital project support.
+ Creates or revises PMs, job guidelines, or procedures for equipment.
**Special Considerations:**
+ This role is located at the Richmond Refinery and follows a 4-10 work schedule.
+ This position is eligible to earn "compensatory time" in accordance with Refinery policy during exceptional work periods such as turnaround support and significant unplanned events.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent
+ Qualified journeymen-level machinist with extensive craft knowledge.
+ 10+ years of experience with rotating equipment in the industrial or manufacturing industry. Including experience with compressors, turbines, motors, blowers, etc., and experience with machinery repair, diagnostics, and monitory systems.
+ Excellent Planning and Organizational Skills.
+ Valid Driver's license
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 3+ years experience with formal Root Cause Failure Analysis techniques (5-Why, Why Trees, TapRoot, etc.)
+ 3+ years of experience with machinery condition monitoring and protection, including vibration analysis, oil condition monitoring, and machinery performance analysis.
+ Demonstrated strong interest in machinery analysis - focus on identification of potential reliability threats and on making improvements.
+ Capable of using databases and storing electronic data, as well understanding of Excel and Word computer programs.
+ Vibration analyst certification (Level 1 or higher) from an approved external body, including MOBIUS, The Vibration Institute, or Technical Associates of Charlotte.
+ Working knowledge of machinery analysis software and tools, such as:
+ BN ADRE Sxp, BN System 1, Windrock MD, Prognost (major machinery surveillance)
+ AMS Machinery Health Manager (garden variety equipment surveillance)
+ Strong competency in electronics/computers/data acquisition equipment.

The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to education, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

The Bradley hotel is seeking an entry level Preventative Maintenance Engineer to join our team!

We're looking for a skilled, capable Preventive Maintenance Engineer to help keep our facility in tip-top shape. This position is responsible for maintenance repairs to the entire hotel facility; including hotel rooms, public areas, administrative offices, and meeting rooms. Repairs may include, but are not limited to, plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling, ventilation, furnishings and fixtures, painting, wall cover repairs, light carpentry, door and window repairs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (This list of essential functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary.)

  • Attend to guest requests, inquiries and complaints relating to maintenance concerns and refers unresolved issues to supervisor or Manager on Duty in a timely manner.
  • Perform preventive/predictable maintenance and necessary repairs on all hotel equipment with minimum down time, including maintenance and repairs to laundry, boiler, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, meeting rooms and guest rooms. Maintain a record of repairs and maintenance requests in a shop log or document the assignment through the work order system.
  • Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment. Perform minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities, using hand tools and power tools to ensure smooth operations of HVAC, refrigeration, natural gas.
  • Install and replace lighting fixtures and bulbs.
  • Maintain shop areas, spare parts areas, storage areas and inventories of materials, equipment and associated parts of the trade.
  • Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment. Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operations variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
  • Fabricate and repair furniture and fixture.
  • Respond to all emergency situations including fire alarms, disasters, power failures, etc. and assist as needed.
