Description:

Performs preventative maintenance, repairs, adjustments and replacement of manufacturing, packaging, facilities and select QC equipment. Performs setup and disassembly of packaging equipment and provides support during production runs. Responsible for building and utility (e.g. compressed air, boiler and purified water system) maintenance. Performs non-routine and repetitive duties under supervision. Must be able to locate and diagnose failures and perform basic troubleshooting from detailed specifications.

  • Proper use and knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Follows FLI's packaging equipment set-up and operation requirements; knowledge of cGMPs.
  • Evaluates new packaging components for compatibility with packaging equipment and obtains quotations for necessary change parts.
  • Applies knowledge of building utility systems (electrical, compressed air, boiler system, steam delivery piping and domestic water systems).
  • Performs preventative and corrective maintenance methods and systems.
  • Assumes major role in assigned projects (process improvements, etc.)
  • Interacts with other department members in a team environment.
  • Fabricate using general shop equipment (drill press, band saw, etc.)
  • Provide vendor support on minor and major projects including equipment installations, modifications and/or decommissioning, etc.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance to air handling systems.
  • Knowledge, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the equipment throughout facility (PD, AMD, MFG, PKG, Micro, Warehouse, etc.)
  • Writes and revises basic Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) that support the routine operations of the facilities engineering department.
  • Operates material handling equipment including tank movers, pallet jacks and lift trucks (both manual and self-propelled).

Requirements:

Minimum one year prior experience in a manufacturing or related environment. Must have excellent communication and follow up skills. Required to lift minimum 55 lbs vertically along with push and pull requirements of 50 lbs force (rolling loads). Position requires physical ability- including working on ladders, climbing stairs, and accessing machinery from various angles. Position requires prolong periods of standing and walking; must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach and inspect equipment during setup/ troubleshooting/ preventative maintenance. Requires a High School diploma, good aptitude and some previous maintenance experience.*FDA regulated- Requires a pre-placement drug screen and physical. Drug screen is a 10-panel that includes marijuana.

SUMMARY:  Delivers, assesses, educates, and documents plan of service to ensure the safe and appropriate use of Medical equipment by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES : Includes the following and other duties that may be assigned by management.

· Provide exceptional customer service to our internal and external customers.

· Contacts patients and provides delivery windows

· Provides delivery, pick up and maintenance of various types of home medical equipment and medical supplies.

· Evaluates home and caregivers to ensure safe and appropriate environment for equipment

· Instructs customer and/or family in the proper and safe use of equipment and/or supplies.

· May collect money from customers for private pay charges as directed.

· Cleans and test equipment according to company policy and manufacturers’ specifications.

· Clean, organize and maintain delivery vehicle according to company policy.

· Accepts on-call service rotation as required by the company.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :  Must be in good physical condition. Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger functions, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 70 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 100 lbs. Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. Driving during inclement weather in all seasons.

REQUIRED LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS :

· Clean Driving Record

· Valid Chauffer’s License

· Current DOT Medical Examiners Certificate or ability to obtain a DOT Medical Examiners Certificate

OTHER SKILLS:  Strong verbal and written communication skills. High level of prioritization skills and appropriate sense of urgency to fulfil services. Ability to read and write and perform basic mathematical calculations. Exceptional customer service skills.

EDUCATION:  High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
