ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:

The Information Technology Department (ITD) has 40 full-time employees and an operating budget of $14 million and supports technological needs for 40 City departments. ITD maintains enterprise-wide infrastructure and applications, supports specialized municipal systems, and ensures the stability, security and continuity of the technology on which the city government and its citizens depend. The department plays a critical role in helping City department leaders and staff to leverage technology to solve operational problems and improve efficiency.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The ERP Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the organization's ERP modernization project. This role is responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, managing vendor and partner relationships, and ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The ERP Project Manager will play a key role in driving business transformation, enabling process improvements, and ensuring that the ERP system meets organizational needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The specific duties of the position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead the end-to-end ERP implementation, including requirements gathering, design, testing, training, and deployment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years leading ERP or large-scale system implementations.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and external vendors/partners.

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on ERP Project Manager to lead the implementation of a new enterprise-wide ERP system. This highly visible role will influence how Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and HR work together, ensuring that our ERP platform becomes the backbone of our future growth.   • Lead the end-to-end ERP implementation project, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation and execution.
  • Define project scope, objectives, success criteria, and ensure delivery on time, on budget, and within scope.
  • Establish and maintain project governance structure, steering committee updates and executive reporting.

Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and influential Project Manager to support the rollout of Microsoft Dynamics and other enterprise software initiatives. While Dynamics 365 experience is a plus, they are primarily looking for a seasoned project manager with a strong track record of successfully leading cross-functional software implementations in a fast-paced environment.
This is a collaborative, high-visibility role that interfaces across stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and executive leadership. You'll drive project execution, keep all players aligned, and ensure that projects stay on track, on budget, and on time-all while maintaining a strong sense of urgency and executive presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead software implementation projects from inception through completion-managing timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Serve as a key driver of a company-wide Microsoft Dynamics rollout, coordinating with business units, IT, and external vendors.
  • Facilitate and support project planning, sprint planning, and milestone management using Jira, Microsoft Project, and Azure DevOps (strongly preferred).
  • Collaborate with executive stakeholders, product owners, analysts, admins, and team leads to ensure the right people are engaged at the right time.
  • Maintain constant communication with stakeholders-tailoring updates and reporting to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Oversee scheduling and coordination, ensuring project meetings are efficient and the correct participants are present.
  • Track and manage dependencies, risks, issues, and change requests with a proactive mindset.
  • Uphold quality control standards across the entire project lifecycle, facilitating user acceptance testing and stakeholder sign-off.
  • Champion best practices in project delivery and foster a culture of continuous improvement across teams.
Required Qualifications:
  • Ability to be on site 2 days/week in Langhorne, PA area from day 1.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing software implementation or IT projects in a cross-functional environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Expertise with project management tools such as Jira and Microsoft Project.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive accountability without micromanagement.
  • Comfortable working with executive leaders and presenting project updates with confidence and clarity.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 rollouts (bonus, not required).
  • Experience using Azure DevOps (strongly preferred).
  • PMP, CSM, or other project management certifications.
  • Background working within Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Previous experience in internal systems, digital transformation, or enterprise applications.
