THE ROLE: Estimating Engineer
LOCATION: Greater Milwaukee Area (Must be in Greater Milwaukee, WI area to be considered)

OUR OPPORTUNITY:
The Estimating Engineer will develop and propose quotation documents for estimating costs and designs on all work platforms and/or access products. Works with customers to understand their needs for quote sheets and project design in collaboration with the sales and engineering team.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review customers’ specifications for content and completeness. Incorporates specific requirements as applicable in the cost estimate.
- Initiate and organize systematic files for storage of all job-related hard copies or electronic files.
- Maintain methodical files for computation, storage, and summarization of estimated data.
- Interpret proposal drawings and performance proposal information as a basis for determining quotes and costs.
- Correspond with various departments requesting additional information where necessary to complete quotes and estimates.
- Work closely with sales and engineers and advises those team members of any discrepancies or additional information required to complete estimates.
- Participate in customer meetings as requested.
- Work with customers to resolve issues and inquiries.
- Use customer feedback to improve customer experience.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or related engineering field of study.
- Proficiency with 2D and 3D modeling and structural design software and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of proper welding designations.
- Knowledge of research and data analysis methods and estimation formulas.
- Knowledge of building codes and OSHA requirements.
- Advanced project and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.

Job Summary:
The Staff State Estimation Engineer will coordinate with cross-functional teams and drive the development of advanced mapping, localization, and SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) solutions for embedded camera systems. Derive and implement novel, real-time pose estimation algorithms and share the work across a multidisciplinary team.

The Cost Estimator will be responsible for helping Planning, Design & Construction keep our project budgets on track. Your professional analysis of blueprints and other project plans will help you make sound financial decisions by aiding in the hiring process and with bidding on materials and resources specific to each project. Your role will include working side-by-side with engineers, contractors, architects, and clients. Throughout the course of the project, you will continue to evaluate all aspects and recommend budget adjustments as needed or correct problems that may be associated with product assembly, shipping delays or wasted material.
Position Description:
•Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs for select trades. Be technically savvy.
•Analyze documentation, such as blueprints and other data, to prepare materials, cost, time and labor estimates
•Break down all expenses and prepare reports to assist management in the organizing, planning and scheduling of work
•Collect cost data to estimate total costs for both current and future projects

We are seeking to add a highly-motivated mid-to-senior Construction Cost Estimator to our team of multi-disciplinary consultants. The individual will have knowledge in performing detailed take-offs of property conditions, estimating for medium to large projects utilizing Xactimate and other estimating software for residential, commercial, industrial facilities, marine and inland structures. Responsibilities And Duties Include
- Fieldwork to document as-built conditions and extent of damage to structures as a result of natural (wind, water, fire, earth movement, etc.) and/or human-induced origins (design and construction errors/omissions). Natural events can include large catastrophes such as regional floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, and earthquakes.
- Produce accurate repair estimates from repair scopes using conceptual and schematic drawings, field notes and photographs.
- Research of historical data and pricing in the development of repair and replacement cost estimates.
- Development of unit costs for detailed repair scope.
- Assess potential exposure/construction risk and be able to appropriately analyze cost and reflect these in an estimate.
- Develop general and special conditions costs.
- Identify value-engineering alternatives.
- Identify risk issues, their order of magnitude and proposed solutions to minimize.
- Assist in the preparation of work scopes, instructions to bidders, bid forms or solicitation information, as needed.
- Analyses of third party estimates and proposals.
- Perform research to support opinions.
- Communicate with Clients, interface with code officials and contractors to address construction issues to develop estimates and prepare reports.
