Job Summary : The Venue Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day AV operations and service delivery for their assigned venue under the direction of the Venue Director. Essential Functions: Oversee daily floor operation, including set/strike equipment for each event as required. This can include supervision of non-union, union and contract labor to ensure all set up and strikes are completed according to Pinnacle Live's standards. Operate equipment in a live show setting as needed. Greet guest/client before the event and provide clear instructions on how to operate equipment. Provide continued communication with clients to ensure success of all events. Follow through on all client requests and look for opportunities to enhance the client's event. Complete necessary flow sheets, schedule and purchase orders for equipment delivery and labor, as needed. Ensure all inventory is in good working order and rental condition. Complies and enforces all Company security and safety measures. Continually work toward updating and improving technical skills Maintain accurate client event information into the Company's billing/event order system. Review invoice with client and obtain client's signature on invoice and add-ons. Manage venue inventory and location of equipment to ensure the inventory is secure from theft and/or damage. Ensure any lost, stolen, or damaged equipment is immediately reported to their supervisor. Ensure all Company occupied areas are clean, organized and up to Company standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Education & Experience: High School diploma, GED or equivalent. Two (2) to three (3) years' prior experience in the audio visual and/or hospitality industry. Two (2) years' advanced audio and visual experience in a theatrical or live event environment. The Event Technology Manager will be responsible for the proprietary software applications utilized by the Event Solutions Group; Experiences Marketplace, On The Fly, Travel Costing/Accounting/Scheduling/Reports, Event Management System, and Skylog. They will work closely with internal teams and developers to define and deliver application enhancements as well as provide ongoing support to the internal teams that provide customer support for those applications. To be successful in this role they will have a strong development background with experience working in and leading all stages of the development process as well as having outstanding communication skills. They will be working directly with multiple teams to gather and define project requirements, including assessment of data, troubleshooting issues, and enhancing reports as needed. A "Jack of all trades" type personality will be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Management: Oversee the daily operation and performance of business applications. Ensure applications are running smoothly and efficiently. Plan and implement upgrades or new installations to keep applications up to date.
  • Problem Resolution: Identify and troubleshoot issues with applications; extract and analyze logs from the database to identify and address issues. Work with developers and/or suppliers to resolve technical problems. Implement solutions to prevent future issues.
  • User Support: Understand the needs of users as described by respective business units and ensure applications meet these needs. Provide training and support to users as needed. Develop and maintain user instructions and/or documentation.

What You Would Get To Do:

In this capacity, the ideal candidate would represent the FIRST brand embedded within a Solutions account for a Fintech company. FIRST Solutions is the proprietary strategic meetings management model offered by FIRST, which embeds specialist talent into organizations to provide Content, Creative, Digital Technology, Management & Delivery, and Data & Insights. The Event Technology Manager is responsible for assisting clients in navigating registration websites, supporting the integration of new technology platforms, and managing data, while collaborating closely with the event delivery team. This role involves assisting the events team with the implementation and ongoing support of new technology platforms, as well as leveraging advanced Microsoft Excel skills to manage event information and generate detailed reports.

Your Contributions
  • Advises on user experience of all pre-event and onsite registration for both virtual and in-person events
  • Implementation and project management of event registration websites, app builds and all technological aspects of our events
  • Troubleshoot technical issues
  • Manage client evaluation communications such as save-the-dates, invitations, registration, confirmations, etc.
  • Database management to ensure consistency of information, accurate data, inputting new data when required and generating lists upon request
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external clients via available communication lines; responding to all client queries within the agreed service level agreements
  • Work with Event delivery team on overall program logistics, production, and implementation
  • Coordination of name badges, tent cards, place cards, departure notices, email confirmations, agenda, signage etc. where appropriate
  • Registration desk flow design and set up
  • Lead contact for attendee management and technology vendors including pre-event and during execution
  • Assist in contacting clients for relevant information pertaining to the event
  • Create and distribute post event client surveys
  • Coordinate planning and utilization of mobile apps. May assist with build depending on platform.
  • List manipulation to provide team members with relevant registration data, year on year statistics, and insight into varied elements and event analytics
  • Manage relationships with technology suppliers including the negotiation of contracts
  • Review and manage any relevant third-party vendor invoice reconciliation e.g. badging / attendee tracking etc
  • Provide the client with cost savings / value adds whenever possible
  • Assist with the training of new joiners and mentoring existing team members
  • Travel (10-15% annually) for on-site management of events to ensure full success and reconciliation.

Position Overview
The Event Technology Intern will assist in the set-up and operation of large- and small-scale audiovisual system for live events while ensuring the utmost client satisfaction. This role will learn work in the field providing technical and sales support, or as a corporate professional at one of the offices. This position will report into field or corporate management.
Key Job Responsibilities
Equipment Operation
- Ensures a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment as listed in the technical qualifications section.
Customer Service
- Strives to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers.
- Maintains a positive relationship with all clients through effective communication.
- Meets with guests on site to ensure that their needs are met, and the equipment setup is working properly.
- Monitors events and checks in on customers throughout the events' duration.
- Understands and fosters the hotel/client relationship.
Technical Ability
- Understands the technical aspects of the job and demonstrates basic operational ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with equipment and software issues.
- Handles equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner.
Systems Knowledge
- Understands company processes, follows procedures, and completes systems entry and paperwork accurately.
- Uses the equipment sheets to determine the equipment scheduled for set up and for strike.
- Interacts with other staff and outside vendors for equipment.
- Increases revenue by utilizing floor up-selling techniques.
- Works with clients to finalize invoices.
- Completes order entries in Navigator, as needed.
Job Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a BA/BS Degree; preference in Hospitality, Business, Media Production, Radio/TV/Film, or related field
- 0-6 months of field audio-visual or customer service experience
- Technical aptitude demonstrated through interest and exposure to new technology
- Ability to work at a hotel location within the major metro market you are applying for (our hotels can cover the city to the suburbs)
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs

We're looking for a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Event Technology Specialist to join our onsite event operations team. This role focuses on badge printing and check-in technology for conferences, trade shows, and other high-profile events.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate Zebra badge printers and related hardware
  • Configure local networks for badge printers and iPads for onsite badge printing
  • Connect a MCE Router from a venue hard LAN line to the devices
  • Troubleshoot technical issues quickly in a live event environment
  • Change printer label paper and keep devices online. Rarely fail once connected properly
  • Work closely with event managers to ensure smooth operations
Requirements

Requirements:
  • Prior knowledge or experience with badge printing technology (Zebra printers preferred)
  • Experience setting up small/local networks for devices or comfortable finding device IP addresses to add to Ipad
  • Comfortable using iPads and other event check-in tools
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible event schedules
  • Professional appearance and communication skills
