Our Branch Auditors are focused on the sales practices of each individual advisor and the books and records requirements of each office to ensure adherence to compliance with all applicable regulations. The Branch Auditor will consult with branch managers, advisors, and support staff and provide direction on maintaining branch offices in accordance with federal and state regulations, FINRA and other SRO regulations and LPL Financial policies and procedures. This is a Fort Mill, SC based position with the requirement for travel and a proximity to a regional airport location.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for independently performing all functions of branch examination, including thorough evaluation of branch activities to assess/monitor compliance with company policies and procedures as well as applicable federal and state laws and regulations (may be onsite or virtual depending on the needs of the business).
- Conduct virtual and/or in-person consultations with branch manager, advisors, and support staff.
- Prepare audit letter based on deficiencies identified during branch examination and provide instructions, both verbally and in writing, to correct deficiencies and operate an office that is in compliance with all regulations.
- Use all company-provided tools and systems required to perform thorough audit and document findings in detail.
- Accountable for planning and preparation of pre-audit material, scheduling of exams, travel arrangements, and managing associated expenses.
- Collaborate with peers and management to streamline processes and create efficiencies for the department.

Requirements:
- Possibility of some domestic travel (up to 20%) which will require the carrying of luggage and audit paperwork (approx. lifting at least 40 pounds).

- Adjusts complex auto bodily injury claims with significant injuries (e.g. traumatic brain injury, disfigurement, fatality) and UM/UIM, and small business claims, as well as some auto physical damage associated with those claims. Identifies, confirms, and makes coverage decisions on complex claims.
- Investigates loss details, determines legal liability, evaluates, negotiates, and adjudicates claims appropriately and timely; within appropriate authority guidelines with clear documentation to support accurate outcomes.
- Prioritizes and manages assigned claims workload to keep members and other involved parties informed and provides timely claims status updates.
- Collaborates and supports team members to resolve issues and identifies appropriate matters for escalation.
- Partners and/or directs vendors and internal business partners to facilitate timely claims resolution.
- Serves as a resource for team members on complex claims.

The selectee will serve as an Polygraph Examiner in the Office of Field Operations. Typical work assignments include:
- Serving as a technical advisor to field agents and investigative teams regarding evidence corroboration through polygraph examinations outcomes.
- Scheduling, planning and conducting criminal and personnel security polygraph examinations.
- Advising internal and external stakeholders on the appropriate use of polygraph examination in criminal investigations, statutory and regulatory requirements, and interview techniques.

To be considered qualified for this position you must meet the following qualification requirements for the respective grade level in which you are applying.
You qualify for the GS-13 level (starting base salary 90,025.00) if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level performing duties such as:

- Interpreting and evaluating physiological responses recorded during polygraph examinations to determine consistency with truthful and deceptive behavior.
