Role Summary
The Executive Creative Director (ECD) is the senior-most creative authority within the agency and a core member of the leadership team. We're looking for an Art Director who is passionate about creating impactful visual designs and is adept at leading creative projects from concept to completion. This role is key for ensuring the integrity of our visual identity across various channels and ensuring that our creative output is innovative, cohesive, and aligned with our business objectives. You'll be collaborating with our global team.
As an Art Director, you will be responsible for:
+ Developing and maintaining the visual identity of Akamai's brand to ensure every touchpoint (sales decks, whitepapers, landing pages, booths) is on-brand and high quality
+ Reviewing assets and enforcing brand standards
+ Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design, marketing, and product, to conceptualize and execute creative designs that help communicate key business messages
+ Overseeing the creation of high-quality visual assets, including digital, print and video materials, presentations, and campaign creatives
+ Directing designers and agencies on layout, typography, imagery, motion, and brand style.
+ Providing art direction and mentorship to junior designers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the team
+ Staying abreast of the latest design trends, technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to enhance our creative output and brand presence
+ Working closely with stakeholders to understand project requirements, and ensure that deliverables meet expectations and timelines.
**Do what you love**
To be successful in this role you will:
+ Have 8 years of relevant experience as an Art Director and a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent
+ Have experience working in B2B corporate/enterprise environments within a corporate brand guidelines framework
+ Have experience of managing visual identity stewardship
+ Have an understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and composition.
+ Be proficient in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
+ Have leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to guide and inspire a team of creatives.
+ Have communication and project management skills, with the ability to articulate creative vision and manage multiple projects simultaneously
+ Have experience working in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines.

**Compensation**
Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $90,100 - $187,100/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). **What You'll Need:**

+ Expertise in art direction, branding, visual storytelling, and digital content creation across various platforms.
+ Strong typography, layout, and design skills, with a deep understanding of brand identity and marketing strategy.
+ Ability to problem-solve creatively, troubleshoot design challenges, and provide strategic solutions.
+ Experience leading photo and video production, with an eye for composition, lighting, and storytelling.
+ Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and other industry-standard design tools.
