Expectations:

The Executive Director, Case Management is responsible for overseeing the Case Management department. This role provides direct supervision to department managers. Description

This position will support the Program Control department supervising the project control section. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining department procedures, conducting periodic project control discipline process reviews, incorporating lessons learned, training of project controls of all disciplines, program control dashboards, and enterprise portfolio reporting. The Deputy Executive Officer provides executive direction for program management operations in support of engineering and construction of major capital projects.

Examples of Duties

  • Monitors activities of assigned departments to ensure conformance with goals and objectives of reporting unit and eliminate impediments to peak performance
  • Develops or oversees the development of policies and procedures for assigned departments
  • Establishes and monitors short-range and long-range goals, budgets, schedules, and strategies
  • Analyzes and develops appropriate cost engineering, scheduling, and estimating staffing levels within engineering management and construction management contracts

Under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, the Executive Director of Facilities, Management and Construction shall plan, organize and supervise the district's facilities and safety programs and will serve as one of the district's safety officers for all projects that are funded fully or in part through bonds or grants. This includes being responsible for supervising and coordinating all district facility improvement projects, including new construction and modernization projects. Serves as the District's Representative at construction meetings. Leads the design and planning of construction and modernization projects and is responsible for coordinating change orders with the construction manager, architect, and contractor. Assists in the development of project and construction budgets and monitoring of project and construction budgets as the project is undertaken. Responsible for supervising and evaluating the facilities department personnel and individual project supervisors.

Qualifications
