- Mission Systems Design Engineer (Software) : Design and fabrication of prototype and low-level production of systems and components including the T-45 Mission Computer Alternative, E-2D Mission Computer Adjunct Processor, Digital Heads-Up Display, Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), and Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs).
J.F. Taylor, Inc. is seeking software developers/engineers to contribute to all phases of the design cycle including requirements generation, design, coding, troubleshooting/testing, and delivery/installation. Software developers/engineers work in a team setting with Project Managers, Engineers, Software Developers, Testers and Technicians. Tasking will consist of the following:
- The simulation of real world aircraft systems that range from the simple to the complex. Software design, development, coding, integration, and test of avionics, mission system, and aerodynamic models involved with real-time simulators.
- Work with hardware engineers to develop software to stimulate and integrate both commercial and military hardware.
- Code in Linux and Windows Operating System (OS) environments, using open source libraries such as QT and Boost.
- Develop graphical user interfaces (GUI).
- Understand and apply processes and procedures, perform activities associated with the design, development, test, implementation, maintenance, configuration management and quality control of software.
- Work in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
- Develop of software interfaces for 1553, ARINC 429, RS232, Ethernet, PCIe, RS485, and VME.
- Develop both manual and automated test code
Degree: B.S. Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field desired.
Yearsof Experience: 0-5 years of experience is preferred, but all will be considered.
The candidate must be able to program using C and C++ in both a Windows and/or Linux/Unix environment.
The candidate must possess strong independent coding skills and a willingness to communicate and work alongside other software and project team members.
It is preferred the candidate has experience with SQL, Qt/QML, python, javascript, XML ,a working knowledge of sockets (Windows, template and QT) and TCP/IP.
Knowledge in the areas of graphical User Interface (GUI) development and networking a plus.

Software Engineer/Developer
This company needs someone to fill their Quantitative Catastrophe Model Developer position that will plan, design, develop, test, and debug modeling applications and services using Python. In this position, you will be responsible for helping to improve the application development process and ensuring adherence to the proper standards and process as well as participate in and guide modeling application architectural decisions.
You will be called upon to: work with other Modelers to covert complex business requirements into technical designs; assist in the planning and monitoring of critical modeling systems within the production environment, and work with other Modelers to develop in-house catastrophe models. You will be expected to explain and or simplify highly complex concepts to others and management.
Other tasks include:
* Be responsible for software development, testing, and maintenance of the models within a catastrophe modeling application using Python (Numpy), C and SQL.
* Be able to assist in the definition of and compliance with technical architectural standards on application as well as services development.
* Be able to work either individually or in small groups with other developers and provide solutions where there may not be detailed requirements.
* Understand the problems/aims, scope the requirements and design and implement the solution in an agile development environment.
Qualifications
* Numerate Bachelor's Degree (e.g. Mathematics, Physics, Engineering) or equivalent experience in Mathematics or Computer Science.

Flex Time
Northstrat does not mandate specific working hours. CACI is seeking a Software Developer to join a multidisciplined team to work on delivering the next generation of mission management systems using cutting edge cloud native technologies following an extreme agile continuous deployment software development framework.
**The Opportunity:**
As a developer on this dynamic program; you will bring your software development experience and perspective to work within a multi disciplined agile team in designing, developing, and maintaining next generation mission management applications.
We'll look to you to help develop, troubleshoot, and maintain cloud native microservices and a user interface (UI) for a data-rich application with complex user workflows. As a part of the development process and supporting user adoption, you will write automated tests against your code, deploy to a fully automated DevSecOps pipeline, and help troubleshoot any bugs found.
Each day, you can expect to report a brief status at an agile stand-up meeting, dig into the highest priority work to accomplish that day, code with your teammates, and participate in TEMs as needed.
**Technologies you will use include:**
- Java 17: Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and REST microservices
- JavaScript/TypeScript: Frameworks like Vue and Bootstrap
- Automated testing tools: Mockito, JUnit, Cypress, etc.
- Databases: PostGres, MySQL, Redis, AWS DynamoDB, etc.
- Cloud Services: AWS EC2, RDS, S3, SNS/SQS, and Lamda.
- SCM and issue tracking tools like Git, Jira, Confluence, etc.
- DevSecOps pipeline tools such as Gitlab CI/CD, SonarQube, Fortify, etc.
**You'll Bring These Required Qualifications:**
- Available to work in-person at CACI facilities in Sterling, VA or Aurora, CO
- Clearance: Must have TS/SCI with poly (or be willing to take a polygraph)
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in STEM field or related experience
- Experience: 3 or more years of experience in software development
- Experience with Java/Back-end OR
- Experience with Web/Front End
- Experience developing within Linux environment.
- Experience with containers or microservice architecture.
- Willingness to work across Full Stack of product
- Willingness to work within true Agile Kanban processes and dynamic development environments.
- Demonstrated experience working with others in a team environment.
- Current Security+ certification (or the willingness to get it)
**These Qualifications are desired:**
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps processes and tools
- Experience using Amazon Web Services
- Experience with container management tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with Git / GitLab source code management tools
- Experience using Test Driven Development (TDD) tools such as Cypress and Mockito.
- Experience with database systems such as MySQL, Redis, etc

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$69,100-$141,500
