V2X Engineering is seeking an entry level Mechanical Engineer to join our Hardware Engineering team in Indianapolis, IN supporting development of a diverse set of mission critical products including advanced airborne systems, podded communication link and sensor systems, armament equipment, suspension and release equipment, cutting edge system integrations, radar systems, cockpit displays, avionics, and more. Our Indianapolis facility also supports a variety of other product lines serving multiple Department of Defense (DoD) customers providing the opportunity to work on a diverse set of programs and roles supporting the continued advancement of your career.
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design of new products and test hardware, as well as the improvement of existing products. The engineer will utilize their mechanical engineering expertise during the proposal and concept generation phase, product development, production, and qualification testing phases of new product design. The engineer will have the opportunity to design creative solutions that meet product requirements. The engineer should be familiar with 3D modeling and drafting, and able be hands-on supporting production, integration, and testing. The engineer will develop solutions which leverage commercial off the shelf (COTS) products paired with custom hardware. The engineer must be a resourceful researcher engaging vendors, manufacturers, and SME's regarding design decisions. The engineer will take part in design reviews at both part, subsystem and system level including Peer Reviews, DFMAs, PDRs, and CDRs. The engineer will work closely with systems, electrical, test, and production engineers.
In addition to their technical skills, the ideal candidate leverages strong verbal and written communication to adapt to a wide variety of high-pressure situations while maintaining professionalism and courtesy. We are looking for an engineer that enjoys working on-location, embraces challenges, and has a passion to support our DoD customers and international allies.
**Required Skills:**
+ Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain a DoD Secret level clearance

CD Companies is searching for a Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for leading design of mechanical systems for buildings across a variety of sectors. You will lead mechanical engineering projects and teams to produce high-quality construction documents using AutoCad and Revit and manage project schedules to meet deliverable requirements. As part of the integrated design team, you will collaborate closely with other disciplines to produce highly integrated building designs.
You will be responsible for leading the design process of mechanical building systems and preparing detailed mechanical engineering drawings and calculations. Responsibilities also include management of Mechanical Designers and/or other team members.
The successful candidate will

- Create and coordinate documents using AutoCad and Revit.
- Perform mechanical/HVAC calculations including code research.
- Perform plumbing/fire protection calculations including code research.
- Write and review specifications.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).

- Working knowledge of the design and construction process and the ability to understand and communicate with professionals of other disciplines.

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to both Newman Sanitary Gasket Company and Newman Diaphragms Inc., playing a key part in the design, development, and improvement of our full range of sealing and diaphragm products. You will be a critical contributor to our product innovation and ensure our solutions continue to meet the rigorous standards of the industries we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new products and components using 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD).
- Optimize existing product designs for performance, manufacturability, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate product performance (e.g., flex life), material compatibility, and compliance with industry standards (FDA, USP Class VI, 3-A).
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot production issues, improve processes, and develop necessary tooling and fixtures.
- Research, select, and qualify appropriate elastomers, plastics, and other materials for demanding sanitary applications.
- Create and maintain detailed engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), and other technical documentation.
- Analyze test data and prepare clear, concise technical reports.
- Provide technical support to sales, customer service, and clients as a subject matter expert.
- Represent the company by attending and participating in industry standards committee meetings (e.g., ASME BPE, 3-A, EHEDG).
- Manage engineering projects from initial concept through to production release.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or a closely related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a mechanical design or product development role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD preferred).
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials science (especially elastomers and polymers), and manufacturing processes (e.g., molding, machining).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct experience with the design of gaskets, seals, or diaphragms.
- Knowledge of sanitary design principles and standards (e.g., FDA, 3-A, USP Class VI).
- Experience in the food & beverage, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industries.
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).

SUMMARY: A Mechanical Engineer applies knowledge of engineering principles required to install, conduct routine preventive maintenance on highly sophisticated, complex production machinery, analyze performance results, repair, and maintain such machinery and equipment in a 675,000 square foot turkey processing facility processing over 17 million turkeys each year under the direction of one or more engineers.
Create and analyze designs, run simulations and test how the equipment functions post-repairs and system manipulation, and interacts with connected systems.
Analyze, diagnose, and recommend solutions for mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures on equipment.
Monitor, diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform timely repairs on various mechanical equipment within the facility, including but not limited to, conveyor systems, sensors, safety guards, elevators, and/or catwalks.
Interpret work orders and specifications to determine if machines and equipment and recommend replacement, repair, or general maintenance as needed.
Carry out routine inspections of equipment and systems following established standard operating procedures and checklists to ensure optimal performance.
Review instructions and interpret blueprints to ensure that project plans follow test specifications and procedures and meet objectives.
Research, produce, and assemble mechanical parts for production machinery and equipment.
Investigate, recognize, diagnose equipment failures to identify faulty operation, and recommend remedies to determine corrective action by interpreting complex blueprints, piping, sketches, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Design/ Redesign, Assemble/Disassemble, Install/Transport industrial mechanical equipment using analysis, prototypes, and computer-aided design.
Follow and adhere to food and workplace safety policies and procedures established by Butterball, LLC.
Communicate, at a high level, with plant operations to ensure the machinery and equipment operate safely and efficiently.

- Provide HVAC & Plumbing design of code-compliant HVAC & Plumbing design documents.
