We are seeking Systems Engineers to perform as a Data Scientist/ Analyst. In this role, you will develop, transform, and model data to improve decision making. You are responsible for data extraction and manipulation of data sets resulting in workflows and predictive models for end-users using system tools (dashboards). You will conduct analysis on data to ensure correct predictive forecasting. You will manage the analytics request process by capturing requirements and are responsible for the creation and maintenance of the resulting analytic dashboards.
ABC Required Education, Experience, & Skills We are actively seeking Data Scientists/ Analysts with a minimum of 11 years' experience. Information Technology or Engineering Bachelor's or Master’s Degrees are preferred where specific skills may include the following:
- Splunk familiarization and dashboard creation
- Experience integrating diverse data streams
- Establishes data standards and acts as custodian of IT and service delivery data sets and streams
- Experience in analyzing complex networks and systems
- Experience in analyzing log data from various network components and operating systems
- Knowledge of the complex environment involving shared networks and multiple security enclaves
- System engineering with network analyst/engineering background
- Security Development and Operations (SecDevOps)
- Network security background with ability to analyze log data as well as familiarity of how to generate logs and metrics from product suites, such as Cisco, Juniper, and desktop\server OS
- Expertise with Splunk (Power User Cert preferred)
- Hands on experience with Splunk advanced apps such as ITSI, SOAR, and UBA
- Public, private and hybrid Cloud experience (AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.)

Full-Time Salary Range: $ - $

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

The Enterprise Project Governance (EPG) department supports decision-making and leads governance processes for major projects ($25M and greater) and programs across PG&E on behalf of external customers and shareholders. Enterprise Project Governance advises the Gate Review Board (GRB) and the Senior Officer Team (SOT), comprised of company officers and directors, on key considerations associated with major projects and programs, including safety, risk reduction, extent of condition, environmental and community impacts, long-term financial forecasting, and alignment with company objectives. The GRB governs about $B in capital spend annually, and total project lifecycle costs under GRB authority are 17.5B.
