What You'll Do

As a Veterinary Ophthalmology Technician at MVA, you'll play a vital role in assisting our Ophthalmologist and the entire care team with diagnosing and managing various eye conditions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing patients for examinations and procedures, such as pupil dilation and administering topical medications while ensuring patient comfort.
  • Collecting thorough patient histories and performing initial ocular exams, including measuring intraocular pressure (IOP) and assessing tear production.
  • Assisting with specialized diagnostics like slit-lamp biomicroscopy, tonometry, and ocular ultrasound, as guided by the Ophthalmologist.
  • Monitoring anesthesia and sedation during procedures such as electroretinography (ERG) or surgery.
  • Providing post-procedural care , including administering medications, cleaning ocular discharge, and giving instructions for at-home care.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of diagnostics, treatments, and patient progress to ensure continuity of care.
  • Fostering a clean, organized workspace and ensuring that ophthalmic instruments and supplies are appropriately maintained.
  • Participating in ongoing training and case discussions to stay current on the latest ophthalmic techniques and best practices.

Anticipated Schedule

We are currently hiring for two full-time Ophthalmology positions , each with its own schedule:

  • Position 1: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Position 2: Monday-Thursday - 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM

**Qualifications**

+ 3-5 years of successful B2B sales experience and/or other relevant sales experience (eye health industry preferred) is required, along with a documented track record of success (attainment to goals, awards, formal recognition) in those roles.
+ Ability to identify and address customer needs, provide tailored solutions, and effectively drive sales growth within assigned territories.
+ Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage customer accounts, as well as effectively handle administrative responsibilities.

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelors degree in a related discipline preferred. A combination of professional certification (COT and/or OSA), combined with extensive ophthalmic experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
+ 3-5 years of successful B2B sales experience and/or other relevant sales experience (eye health industry preferred) is required, along with a documented track record of success (attainment to goals, awards, formal recognition) in those roles.
+ Ability to identify and address customer needs, provide tailored solutions, and effectively drive sales growth within assigned territories.
+ Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage customer accounts, as well as effectively handle administrative responsibilities.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills are required along with strong financial and analytical acumen.
+ Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, as well as educate and influence customers.
+ This is a remote field-based position that typically requires up to 50% travel, including some overnight travel depending on territory size. Must reside within the territory or live within a reasonable distance of territory workload center.

In this role, you will be accountable for tracking and optimizing team performance metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basisfocusing on service quality, responsiveness, and overall operational efficiency. The Customer Service team supports Bausch + Lombs industry-leading contact lens portfolio, which includes ULTRA, Biotrue ONEday, INFUSE, and INFUSE Multifocal, along with our innovative e-commerce platform, B+L Opal. The Supervisor ensures all customer interactions reflect the high standards of the Bausch + Lomb brand and contribute to the ongoing success of our Vision Care business.
**Responsibilities**
+ Lead and supervise a team of Customer Service Associates, ensuring daily operations run smoothly and align with department goals and service standards.
+ Maintain a strong floor presence to support employee engagement, deliver real-time coaching, and foster a customer-focused team culture.
+ Conduct regular 1:1 performance check-ins, monthly reviews, and mid-year/year-end appraisals to support employee development and accountability.
