**Position Purpose:**
The Facility Manager Incinerator DEA is responsible for overall operations and financial results of one or more Hospital, Medical, and Infectious Waste Incinerator (HMIWI) facilities. The individual responsibility will include accountability for the controlled substance program, compliance, interpreting federal and local regulations, oversight of the destruction practices and procedures and ensuring all DEA regulatory and compliance are maintained. They will collaboratively work with multiple groups including, but not limited to: Sales, Customer Service, Accounting, Transportation, Safety, and Environmental Compliance ensuring that all safety, regulatory, and customer issues affecting each location are promptly addressed. This person will also ensure that each facility meets or exceeds its goals as it pertains to Environmental Safety and Health (ES&H), Regulatory Compliance, Revenue Growth, Budget Control, Customer Service, and Continuous Improvement.
**Key Job Activities:**
- Ensure Selects, trains, and develops an effective and efficient team of managers, supervisors, and plant workers.
- Reviews all applicable regulatory documentation (i.e., permit required performance testing, RATA testing, State required Electronic Data Reports, training records, etc.).
- Manages a database to include annual permit renewals, accidents and Worker's Compensation records, etc.
- Establishes and maintains effective contact with state and local regulatory personnel and coordinates inspection and customer environmental tours.
- In addition, ensures that operational and customer related functions are completed timely, accurately, and sufficiently to meet standards.
- Meets with the key team members regularly to discuss and analyze reports with the goal of improving productivity and service.
- Identifies inconsistencies and develops action plans consistent with Stericycle's Customer 1st vision.
- Ensures continual focus on Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and initiate Continuous Improvement Practices in all phases of the operation in order to achieve all production, safety, compliance, and financial/budgetary goals.
- Initiates actions to assure timely resolution of identified hazards or unsafe conditions and practices.
- Performs Root Cause Analyses and implements corrective actions when necessary.
- Provides financial forecasting and regularly reviews, analyzes, approves, and/or submits Payroll registers, A/P batches and expense reports, capital expense projects, monthly expense reporting, monthly revenue/volume reports.
- Works with other facility managers and key support personnel in the identification, development, and review of best practices in facility operation, information gathering, and informational reporting.
- Ensures delivery of services through transportation, plant and customer service functions to enhance customer loyalty.
- Addresses issues that arise through customer feedback processes (e.g. customer surveys).
- Has thorough knowledge and understanding of permit requirements, CEMS rules, EPA, OSHA, DOT, and ensures all locations have processes and controls implemented to ensure 100% compliance.
- Has a detailed understanding of all DOT regulations, including VCR (Vehicle Condition Report) review and filing, and maintenance of HOS (Hours of Service) Logs and collaborates with Transportation and Logistics teams to assure compliance.
- Provide oversight of DEA controlled substance practices and procedures including product receipt, processing, and destruction and reporting.
- Evaluate the efficiency of regulatory controls and improve them continuously.
- Interprets local and global regulations and ensures company processes are in alignment.
- Prepare monthly management reports regarding operations and progress, including monthly department metrics.
- Liaison with DEA or other regulatory agencies as needed to support reporting requirements or requesting updates on permits, submissions, etc.
- Participates in the year-end physical count and compile reconciled data.
- Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed.
- Conduct or direct the internal investigation of compliance issues when needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
**Experience:**
- Education equivalent to a Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in related work experience preferred.
- BS in management or environmental related field preferred, or related equivalent in related work experience.
- Five or more years of progressive management experience in logistics and plant operations environment, demonstrating the ability to manage people in a manufacturing and/or transportation environment.
- Demonstrates the ability to provide safe and regulatory compliant work conditions for all team members.
- Demonstrates knowledge and the ability to stay abreast of applicable regulations and codes, as they apply to the waste industry and those specific to area of responsibility.
- Demonstrates the ability to manage within an established budget as well as strong knowledge of budgetary processes, P&L statements, asset management, and project management.
- Demonstrates sound knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Must be able to input, monitor and manipulate data within these applications.
- Demonstrates extensive experience with waste heat recovery to include waste heat boilers, heat exchangers, steam turbines/generators or similar high speed rotating process equipment.
- Experience in the operations and maintenance of mass burn facilities and the production of electrical energy via steam turbine is preferred.
- Must have extensive experience in the operations and maintenance of high temperature processing equipment such as controlled air fixed hearth, reciprocating hearth or rotary kiln incinerators, and air pollution control equipment, such as fabric filter houses, wet scrubbers and all other ancillary equipment.
- Ancillary equipment includes: high temp refractory of various types, digital and analog process controllers (PLC), thermocouples, pH control systems, conductivity control systems, water and chemical feed systems such as various types of pumps and valves, high temp gas flow control systems, such as forced and inducted draft fans, dampers, CEM systems, and emergency power backup systems.
- Must have a strong understanding of PID loop tuning and sequential processing and have the ability to troubleshoot system anomalies and direct corrective action with high temperature processing using all types of refractory materials.
- Knowledge of DEA handling preferred.

The Director, Data Center Facility Operations, will be responsible for the overall management of a critical data center site in Abilene, TX. Required Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of data center MEP systems, building management, and automated monitoring and control systems.

  • Experience managing on-site power generation (preferably natural gas turbines) and understanding of redundancy and failover systems.

  • Strong project management skills and experience delivering results in high-uptime, compliance-driven environments.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and staff development programs.

Preferred Qualifications:
