Williams Transportation  is currently seeking full-time, and part-time Ground lead drivers who are looking to join an award-winning transportation logistics company. Williams Transportation is a contracted service provider for FedEx Ground + Home Delivery, and runs multiple routes throughout the Ogden area. We are hiring for positions for our Ogden location.

Drivers are responsible for safe and timely handling and delivery of packages to businesses and residential areas on their route. Drivers enjoy independence on the road and develop a rewarding and enjoyable career incorporating customer service, road safety and driving skills. 

Delivery Driver Responsibilities:

• Safe operation of a commercial vehicle in a wide variety of conditions.

• Completion of all assigned delivery and pickup stops for the day.

• Proper usage of hand held device to record all activity for the day.

• Maintain security of all packages and equipment assigned for the day.

• Ability to lift, bend, carry & load packages as well as follow directions and turn by turn maps.

• Friendly to customers & team members.

• Packages are picked up from the sort location in either North Salt Lake City, West Valley, and Ogden facilities depending on routes.

Delivery Driver Requirements:

• Must be 21 years or older.

• Must have 12 months of commercial driving experience in the last 3 years. Driving experience must be paid, for work, not to and from work. I.e. Pizza delivery, mail delivery, parcel delivery, real estate, home healthcare, etc. A CDL is not required.

• Qualified individuals that don't have the necessary commercial driving experience can be approved by attending our driver training program. 

• Must be able to pass DOT physical as well as a drug screen and criminal background check.

• Must have a clean driving record.

KanDo Logistics Inc. is a Fedex ground contractor looking to hire more drivers in the Cleveland/Akron, OH area starting at $170/day during the training period. Once you can drive route solo we pay $80/day+ depending on route and ability. Additionally we offer a weekly safety bonus for maintaining safe driving habits/minimal VEDR violations, good PPOD and no attendance issues.

A Delivery Driver duties include loading the goods they need to deliver onto the delivery van or truck, using navigation tools to arrive at the right address and delivering parcels to the correct address.

Delivery Drivers have a variety of duties in addition to driving their routes and making their deliveries. Other important responsibilities include:

• Following all traffic laws, DOT regulations and best practices for safety when delivering items
• Communicating with dispatchers, drivers and other team members to make deliveries
• Meeting delivery deadlines and following assigned delivery routes
• Performing basic truck maintenance, such as refueling, doing visual inspections and reporting potential issues
• Preparing, loading and unloading the delivery vehicle
• Providing exceptional customer service and obtaining client or customer signatures when needed
• Completing any paperwork related to the deliveries and completing reports as required
