Who You Are & What You'll Do:
The Sr. Industrial Finance Controller should have exceptional leadership and be an innate problem-solver, with the ability to support the business in developing and executing on effective business strategies, including the planning and budgeting process. Some of the responsibilities include:
+ Contribute to drive financial performance of the site together with leadership team and through World Class Manufacturing (WCM)
+ Lead annual business planning process, forecasts and actual reporting
+ Lead for cost improvement / restructuring / capex / sourcing projects, and challenge, calculate sensitivities and build business cases.
+ Provide financial expertise and challenge on ad hoc projects
+ Provide leadership and vision for process improvement and automation opportunities in the Finance and Performance Management space.
+ Lead/Monitor all Cost Controlling activities (Month-End Close, Fixed Assets, Costing) performed by colleagues in Supply Chain Financial Services (SCFS)
+ Liaise with SCFS to ensure complete and timely running of the ABC model and generation of overhead allocation to products.
+ Provide analysis of the output transfer prices, detailing reasons for movements.
+ Maintain a robust forecasting system in operation and assure budget holders are involved.
+ Play a key role in the finance community within the North American supply chain, developing relationships to drive performance improvements in the SU, sharing best practices with colleagues
+ Play an active role in driving for change and continuous improvement in the business and within finance; identify areas that require improvement.

What You'll Need To Succeed

Pay: The pay range for this position is $115,680 to $173 ,520 . The purpose of the position is to lead and direct activities within the Finance Department for all financial reporting requirements, both internal and external. Responsibilities
Essential Functions: Essential functions encompass the required tasks, duties and responsibilities performed as part of the job and the reason the job exists.
- Oversees certain general and grant accounting, patient accounting reconciliation, regulatory reporting, and tax and financial reporting functions.
- Directly supervises the accounting, accounts payable, and payroll staff.
- Oversees the Payroll Manager and all payroll functions.
- Assists in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP regulations for all entities (C3 and C4).
- Prepare patient revenue recognition in collaboration with Revenue Cycle Management team.
- Oversee monthly journal entries for all entities (C3 and C4). Compiles and reports variances to the VP of Finance along with monthly financial statements.
- Oversee/prepare external filings such as property and sales tax documents and returns and OSHA reporting.
- Responsible for oversight of all daily cash accounting, including reconciliation of bank statements.
- Responsible for filing various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for all entities (C3 and C4) to city, county, state, and federal agencies.
- Make recommendations to improve financial report systems, disbursement, payroll policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with Analysis team on the following:
- Develop service line and procedure costs and profitability analysis.
- Conducts price and rate analysis based on costs and assists in the development of sliding fee scales.
- Ad hoc support for any troubleshooting of systems managed by Finance.

The salary range for this role is 137,000 USD - 275,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

- Ensure all related payroll liabilities are paid in accordance with their respective deadlines.
- Monitor and evaluate payroll administrative internal controls with the goal of minimizing fraud and improper payments.
- Ensure all federal, state and local payroll-related returns are timely filed.
- Assures protection for real and financial assets through adequate internal control procedures.
- Formulates and formalizes accounting policies and procedures to safeguard assets.
- Performs periodic internal audits such as surprise petty cash counts and paycheck control and distribution.
- Keeps abreast of Federal, State, and local laws and regulations with respect to tax issues.

- Plans and manages assigned staff toward the accomplishment of La Rabidas mission including recruitment, scheduling, training, and development; counseling/coaching; appraisal and recognition, and recommending salary, promotional, discipline, and other personal actions in accordance with existing policies and procedures.
Plans and manages the department budget to ensure responsible controls over and efficient utilization of hospital resources.
Understand that he/she, and the staff that he/she supervises generate, update, transmit or otherwise work with Protected Health Information (PHI), and ensure that he/she, as well as the staff he/she supervises, treats PHI according to the Hospitals policies and procedures.
What we need from you:Education: Degree in accounting, business or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Related Work Experience: Five (5) to eight (8) years of combined accounting and controllership experience required. Experience in a hospital or health care facility is required. Experience with Workday is a plus.
Licensure/Certification: CPA required.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Skilled knowledge of financial management; strong platform abilities which include organizational leadership, communications, creativity, writing proficiency, and public speaking skills. Computer applications expertise, particularly spreadsheet, database, and word processing desirable.
