The AWS Worldwide Specialists Finance (WWSO) team is looking for a Finance Manager to collaborate with senior business and finance leaders in the Specialists organization. You'll spearhead data-driven investment decisions, financial planning, and controllership, directly impacting our global strategy and revenue growth.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and analytics dashboards for WWSO Core leadership, including productivity metrics
- Design and implement advanced financial models and analytical tools to support critical decision-making
- Create and implement business mechanisms that are scalable to help your business partners make data-driven decisions
- Conduct in-depth analysis and present findings directly to senior leaders
- Lead the annual financial planning and budgeting process
A day in the life
- Support existing business review mechanisms (WBR, MBR etc.) and build new metric frameworks for Geo Specialist coverage. Work with teams on get-to-green plans, and measuring and assessing future risks.
- Analyze key pipeline and productivity metrics to drive business investment and outcomes
- High visibility with the AWS Specialist and Partner Finance Director and Go-to-Market Specialists leaders
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL

+ A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in financial management-related positions of responsibility and complexity similar to the scope of this role.
+ At least six (6) years of experience in the field of accounting. The years of experience in management and accounting can be concurrent.
+ **Skills and Abilities:**
+ Proficiency in Excel and Access Database.
+ Extensive knowledge of accounting procedures and government contract management.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to prepare comprehensive financial reports and forecasts.
+ Experience in monitoring and maintaining compliance with financial regulations and budgets.
+ Possession of a TS security clearance at the start of the contract.
**Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands**
+ The position is primarily office-based with occasional travel to customer sites, as required.
+ The role requires prolonged periods of sitting, use of computers, and engagement in routine office tasks.
+ Mental demands include the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail, and meet tight deadlines.
+ The work involves a high level of collaboration and communication with team members and external stakeholders.
