The expected annual salary range for this role is $108749.97 - $159499.96 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

**What you'll do:**
**Eaton's Orchard Park, NY facility is seeking a skilled Finance Leader to join our team. This position will report directly to the Site Finance Lead.**
In this role, the Finance Manager will be responsible for tracking and challenging the performance of the business against both tactical annual profit plan & monthly forecasts as well as long-term strategic objectives. You will establish strong working relationships with financial personnel in the business. The position requires strong business acumen, knowledge of US GAAP, and a working knowledge of financial systems (e.g. Oracle, planning software, etc.).
The Finance Manager position requires a high level of detailed analysis in a complex organization, and the ability to be highly responsive and accurate. Additionally, you must provide insightful business analyses to senior management to support the development of objectives and action plans to achieve those objectives. It also requires an individual who can work with minimal direction, is proactive, self-motivated and a good team player.
This position is highly visible and requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex issues clearly within the finance organization and cross functionally. You will be required to apply judgment to resolve daily issues and questions from other members of the team. The position will require an experienced professional who is able to hire, lead, develop, coach and mentor other team members within the finance organization.

- The Finance Manager will be responsible for providing strategic and financial leadership to the business, driving insights and actions from data and analytics, and telling compelling stories that influence decision-making and drive performance
- You will collaborate across functions and groups to deliver timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting, planning, forecasting, and analysis
- You will also champion a culture of change and continuous improvement, leveraging best practices and benchmarks to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Finance function and the business as a whole
- Oversee / Execute the planning and forecasting process in order to guide business units towards clear targets, ensuring consistency and alignment across the organization
- Provide insightful and actionable reporting, analysis and recommendations to senior leaders and stakeholders, based on data-driven insights, scenario modeling, and business acumen
- Maintain short-term and long-term financial model for the company
- Create and deliver compelling and persuasive presentations and narratives that communicate complex financial information and insights in a clear and concise manner
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics and identify trends, business opportunities and risks, and areas for improvement
- Analyze manufacturing spend, variances, and other information at the plant level and cost center level
- Partners with Eaton's Aerospace Sector, Mission Systems Division, Accounting, Audit, Treasury and Tax as appropriate
**Qualifications:**
Basic Qualifications:
+ A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business, from an accredited institution is required.
+ A Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in progressive Accounting and/or Finance roles.

Responsible for providing overall operational support with the management and oversight of Community Finance's applicable tax credit equity investments and other structured lending products.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Provide support to the various Community Finance business lines by recommending solutions to problems that arise, team training, and liaising with key stakeholders.
+ Process capital contributions for M&T's investments.

**Scope of Responsibilities:**
The department originates and manages tax credit investments ("TCI") that enable M&T to repurpose its tax liability in support of federal and state public policy objectives including financing activities that promote the public welfare. These activities, particularly low-income housing TCIs, are the primary driver to achieve M&T's CRA requirements, enhance our community banking model, and contribute to our sustainability aspirations and business case. Participation in state tax credit programs as well as historic preservation TCI is a secondary focus. Involvement in these programs frequently necessitate both equity investments in addition to loans. The department generates several hundred million dollars in new investments annually. This position works closely with the Operations & Risk Manager to support Community Finance and to partner with cross-functional working teams to include M&T's Tax, Technology, Finance, and Accounting Policy departments to ensure compliance with critical objectives.

Solid knowledge of personal computers, with thorough knowledge of various software programs (such as Word, Excel and other departmental software).
