**_Financial Administration Senior Analyst, Assistant Vice-President_**
**Job Summary**
The Financial Administration Senior Analyst, Assistant Vice-President ("AVP") oversees the analysis, monitoring, and implementation of expense budgets as well as ensures fund expenses are paid in a timely manner. Additionally, AVPs coordinate and review the monthly and annual excise distribution processes, along with other reporting such as Total Returns, Board reporting and year-end tax reporting requirements. The AVP collaborates with other members of Financial Administration to support the preparation of monthly, semi-annual and annual reports for investment companies in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles ("GAAP") and Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") requirements as they relate to core functions previously mentioned.
+ Are the primary contact for clients; respond proactively to internal and external client inquiries
+ Are responsible for timely and accurate expense budgeting and payments
+ Coordinates and reviews the monthly and annual excise distribution process
+ Oversee monthly and quarterly client reporting (e.g. Total Returns and preparation of Board reports)
+ Coordinates fund year-end reporting (e.g. 1099-NEC and ICI Reporting)
+ Support the preparation of financial statements and SEC filings (e.g. N-PORT, N-MFP, N-CSR, N-CEN and 24F-2, N-1A etc.)
+ Demonstrate an advanced understanding of investment types, mutual funds, ETFs and financial markets
+ Lead training sessions to increase the team's knowledge
+ Identifies and/or implements process improvements to reduce risk and improve efficiency

**Qualifications**
Job Specifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related area or equivalent work experience
+ 5-7 years accounting or reporting experience in the registered investment company or financial services industry
+ Prior team lead or supervisory experience preferred
+ Experience with FIS InvestOne fund accounting platform, including MBOR and OLE functionality, is a plus
+ Experience with Confluence Unity platform, including Publishing and Workbook functionality, is a plus
+ Advanced experience working with Microsoft Office applications required, specifically Excel

What does this role look like?
The Financial Management Manager will be functional Finance & Business Operations support to the SS&IG Mission Area Whiskey Portfolio and Intelligence Ground Portfolio of programs within the Lockheed Martin Space NSS Line of Business. CGI Federal provides Audit Review and Financial Reconciliation support to the Marine Corps Payroll Reconciliation Team (MCPRT). CGI federal is currently seeking qualified candidates to work at the Kansas City, MO location as a Financial Management Analyst.
This position is located in Kansas City, MO.
**Your future duties and responsibilities:**
In-depth accounting, financial auditing logistics, and administrative support to identify, correct and recommend solutions to abnormal accounting conditions in the MILPAY Appropriations (1105 and 1108) to include Outstanding Travel Advances (OTA), obligation amounts for the Personal Property Moves/Household Goods Shipments, Outstanding Aged obligations, Unliquidated Obligations, Abnormal Expenses, Unmatched AMC and AMC Pre-Val.
Analyze, develop, recommend, and advise on technical processes and logistics solutions to correct problem areas and ensure improved customer support.
Develop and maintain the information management tools, processes, and systems to accurately capture, support, and analyze enterprise financial accounting data required to develop, implement, and continually refine Marine Corps enterprise-level business and financial process improvements.
Provide required administrative and logistics management and support.
Ensure the accuracy of Military Personnel payroll execution data.
Coordinate system/policy changes that support and facilitate the Military Personnel reconciliation process.
Provide technical assistance to the Finance Branch, Manning Division, Programs and Resources Department (RFM), and other Marine Corps organizational elements that develop and maintain automated financial management applications that impact the Military Pay appropriations.
Maintain required communications with numerous organizations within the Marine Corps, Department of Navy, and Defense Finance Accounting Service (DFAS)
Data collection, redaction of data, scanning of crucial supporting documents, and uploading of documentation to audit portals
Reconciliation of obligations and liquidations within multiple Marine Corps systems
Answer follows on questions promptly
Responsible for maintaining tracking of audit samples that have been addressed, as well as any follow-up that may be provided

**Required qualifications to be successful in this role:**
