Financial Data and Reporting Ops Analyst is responsible for overseeing the accuracy and timeliness of delivery for statements, fee disclosures, confirmations and other correspondence sent to 401(k) plan participants and sponsors.
+ Complete inline quality assurance testing of various statements and correspondence to validate that information on the document matches data from the system of record
+ Partner with line of business and product owners to resolve discrepancies between the document and system of record
+ Review reporting to reconcile statements and correspondence ordered to match volumes delivered to clients
+ Complete user acceptance testing for development of new correspondence and changes to existing templates

We are looking for a skilled Financial Data Analyst to join our team in Jackson, Michigan. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with supply chain teams to optimize logistics operations and drive financial insights. The ideal candidate will excel in data manipulation, financial reporting, and analytical thinking while supporting forecasting and budgeting processes.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial data to support supply chain logistics, including freight costs and warehouse operations.
- Utilize tools such as Excel, Access, and TMS to manage and manipulate data effectively.
- Develop and maintain background tables to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting.
- Review and validate operating expenses, team utilizations, and travel and entertainment costs.
- Prepare forecasts, budgets, and margin analyses by customer to guide decision-making.
- Collaborate with finance team members across different regions to align on financial goals.
- Generate detailed reports and insights to support restructuring and reclassification initiatives.
- Support project planning by providing actionable financial analysis and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with financial planning and analysis (FP& A) standards and protocols.
- Drive process improvements to enhance overall data accuracy and reporting efficiency.
Requirements
- Strong background in financial analysis and data manipulation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and functions.
- Experience with data tools such as Access and TMS.
- Knowledge of supply chain logistics and global operations.
- Familiarity with forecasting, budgeting, and margin analysis.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Previous experience in financial planning and analysis (FP& A) roles.

Description We are looking for a skilled Financial Data Analyst to join our team in Woodbridge, New Jersey, on a contract basis. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in actuarial analysis, financial modeling, and data management to support key business functions and drive strategic decision-making. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a strong background in Python, SQL, and advanced analytical techniques who thrive in dynamic environments.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain actuarial models and data-driven processes using Python, R, and SQL to support insurance pricing, reserving, and risk management.
- Implement and refine month-end processes, rate change calculations, and ad-hoc analyses to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.
- Collaborate with Actuarial and FP& A teams to automate workflows and improve the performance of financial models using Python-based scripting.
- Perform reserving analysis to estimate unpaid claim liabilities in coordination with internal and external actuaries.
- Create and update loss development triangles and incurred but not reported (IBNR) calculations based on operational and financial data.
- Assist in developing and validating actuarial assumptions for pricing, reserving, and forecasting purposes.
- Build and maintain predictive analytics models and conduct profitability analysis to support business planning.
- Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate financial impacts and risk exposure.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Develop Python scripts to automate data processing, actuarial calculations, and reporting workflows. Requirements - Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis, automation, and model development.
- Strong knowledge of actuarial analysis and financial modeling techniques.
- Experience in casualty insurance and familiarity with loss development triangles and IBNR calculations.
- Expertise in developing complex financial models for predictive analytics and profitability analysis.
- Ability to perform data mining and leverage advanced techniques to identify trends and opportunities.
- Hands-on experience with Python libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
- Solid understanding of stress testing, scenario analysis, and risk assessment methodologies.
