CBIZ's valuation practice specializes in the valuation of corporate equity, debt and derivative securities, partnership interests, and intangible assets of privately held and publicly traded businesses. Valuation projects serve a variety of purposes, including for mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, tax reporting, litigation, bankruptcy, portfolio valuation, and corporate planning. Assist domestic and global clients in numerous industries, including energy, healthcare, technology, real estate, hospitality, consumer and industrial products, telecommunications, and financial services, among others.

Complex Financial Instruments ("CFI") is responsible for utilizing their educational background, along with established organizational and project management skills to assist in serving the CFI team and CBIZ's clients to prepare and review valuations of complex derivative instruments. This role works within a team environment to actively assist in the analysis and resolution of client matters while taking direction and receiving guidance from management members. This role is charged with execution and delivery of challenging valuation and appraisal engagements by participating in all aspects of the project from initial proposal preparation through modeling and concluding with the presentation of final analyses.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Construct financial models used in the valuation of complex derivative financial instruments for financial reporting, tax and regulatory compliance, transaction support, and corporate strategy
  • Use mathematical and statistical financial models for valuations of multiple asset classes including complex securities, options, credits, and derivatives across a variety of industry sectors
  • Assist with the delivery of projects related to the valuation of illiquid and complex securities, hard-to-value assets, financial derivatives (including over-the-counter derivatives), and structured products
  • Aid in the delivery of services related to hedge advisory, strategic assessment, model validation, economic studies, and other advisory projects
  • Prepare necessary exhibits and memos in illustration of complex issues
  • Compose narrative reports in support of valuation analyses
  • Document and maintain all appropriate aspects of work product
  • Ensure quality controls are adhered in association with all work products
  • Participate in internal and external client meetings
  • Perform related company, industry, and economic research

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative analysis of complex financial instruments, including options, warrants, fixed income securities, and other derivatives
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, VBA, Python, R, or other programming language
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience with Capital IQ, Bloomberg, or Refinitiv
  • Experience with Crystal Ball, @Risk, or other software applications used for risk analysis, predictive modeling, forecasting, simulation, and optimization
  • Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Solid organizational skills
  • Executive presence and ability to act as primary contact on assigned engagements
  • Ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior analytical and research skills

Minimum Qualifications

As a CFI Senior Associate, you'll assist clients by applying traditional and cutting-edge valuation approaches and methods to a variety of analyses - all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel. Your day-to-day may include:
+ Perform valuation analysis and modeling

**The opportunity**
As a Senior Manager in EY's Financial Instruments Tax Solutions (FITS) - Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) Tax practice, you will focus on the tax compliance for equity investors in CLOs as well as consulting with asset management firms on CLOs. FITS - CLO Tax will give you the opportunity to further develop your skills while assisting our financial services clients in dealing with the tax and compliance challenges that their world class tax functions are facing today.
**Your key responsibilities**
+ Oversee team of consultants and seniors related to performing tax compliance for CLOs
+ Improve the performance of tax functions, team with and motivate others, and develop meaningful and influential relationships with clients and colleagues
+ Serve as a technical resource for complex tax items related to CLOs
+ Help develop and maintain proprietary CLO tax technology
+ Train and develop staff members
+ Drive growth and profitability for the CLO tax practice
+ Contribute to a positive team environment by taking an active role in counseling and mentoring consultants

**To qualify for the role, you must have**

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $148,100 to $38,400. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is 177,800 to 384,400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.

MIU City University Miami is seeking highly qualified adjunct faculty members to join our team and teach on-campus courses in the master’s in business administration program (on Campus) . We are looking for dedicated professionals who are passionate about education and have expertise in the Finance Area.

In today’s business environment, national and international financial markets play an essential role in providing investors, whether corporate, government, or individual, with vehicles for both raising and investing scarce resources like capital. Financial institutions as intermediaries facilitate this flow of funds. This module focuses on financial market structures, operations, and financial instruments across the globe where time has value and risk accompanies return, and it is largely left upon the market mechanism to allocate scarce resources.

Course Outcomes:

1) Classify the role of investors, corporations, and government. Students correlate the role of investors as shareholders that improve corporate governance through monitoring financial market benefits.
2) Distinguish the money and equity market’s main characteristics. Students compare short-term debt securities with the stock market to access capital for business growth.
3) Design the flow of funds. Students design a cash flow movement in a financial system examining inflows and outflows of cash.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a doctoral or terminal degree (Ph.D., D.Sc., or equivalent) in Finance or Business with Finance credits or a closely related field. All faculty credentials must be issued by a properly accredited institution.
  • Proven experience teaching in higher education, with familiarity in using Canvas as a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Ability to teach online.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
  • Work permit in USA
  • On-site with Campus in downtown Miami

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in curriculum development and instructional design for the courses to lecture.
  • Hands-on industry experience in Finance, Financial Markets, Stock exchange markets.

  • Utilize Canvas LMS to facilitate course materials, assignments, and student engagement.
  • Assess and evaluate student learning outcomes.
