Primary Functions:
Financial Performance Manager - Pharmacy is responsible for planning, evaluating, coordinating, administering, implementing and reviewing of all pharmacy financial activities. These activities include the preparation of the expense and capital budgets, preparation of financial reports and statistics, analysis and assessment of financial benchmark data, assisting with the evaluation of new programs that could impact the finances of the pharmacy, in collaboration with Finance and Pharmacy Leadership. This position will support and manage daily financial business issues and challenges for the Pharmacy Department to include pharmacy charge capture, identify cost savings opportunities, to include 340B, and support implementation of efficient business operations. Complete ongoing financial performance analyses of new/existing contracts, programs, and services. Acts as a collaborative resource and financial performance expert for departments, divisions, leaders, administrators, etc. aimed at driving sound decision making through continuous fiscal monitoring and analysis of key performance indicators. Monitors and collaborates with corporate accounting on monthly financial close activities. Responsibility for reporting monthly financial close data. Identifies and effectively communicates opportunities to improve service, outcomes, productivity, efficiency, and improve overall financial performance. Consistently demonstrates sound financial leadership by gaining "buy-in" through best practices which will achieve sustained success in fiscal ownership, awareness, empowerment, and overall accountability. In all, position is responsible for advancing value in a manner consistent with best practices, industry leading benchmarks, and the Nemours Standards of Behaviors.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain responsibility for financial monitoring system, including monitoring and analysis of financial statements, budget variances, and performance indicators.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement activities and reporting including Model Line research and Financial Analysis
- In cooperation with Nemours Children's Health Florida, department managers and administrators, develops and monitors operational and capital budgets, including revenue and all expenses. Budgets should reflect financial goals, which are realistic and achievable.
- Assist in identifying, developing, and maintaining productivity measurements in relation to resources consumed.
- Ensure that opportunities for revenue generation are identified and investigated for potential implementation. Work to maximize profitability related to the revenue cycle. In that effort, provide appropriate support to personnel in the areas of scheduling, registration, and billing. Work collaboratively with billing staff and patient financial services to assure a customer/patient focused process.
- Prepare analyses which reflect appropriate opportunities for revenue enhancement or expense control.
- Conduct cost analyses for specific pharmacy programs, procedures, or activity as necessary or requested.
- As requested and/or appropriate, meet with department directors to review financial results and objectives. Meetings may include hospital administrators, directors, or other members of the corporate or local operations areas.
- Communicates routinely with administrators and other personnel to ascertain satisfaction with the Finance department and its support to respective Pharmacy departments and divisions. When issues arise, investigate and pursue potential resolution.
- Attend meetings and participate in other departmental activities at Nemours Children's Health, FL and Nemours Foundation as appropriate.
- Ensure implementation and leadership consistency around department, hospital, practice, and/or Foundation procedures relating to expense reimbursements for meals, travel, dues, subscriptions, etc. and other policies as appropriate.
- Assure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements as pertinent to job responsibilities.
- Where appropriate, provide training for staff from relevant departments.
- Works as an integral member of both Finance and Pharmacy Leadership Teams on special projects as identified by respective Nemours Children's Health - Florida administrators/Directors/Managers
- Eagerly perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance. Hospital, Physician Practice, Healthcare Accounting, or Finance related experience preferred.
Healthcare experience in a mid-level accounting/finance role.
Successful track record in fiscal performance leadership, process improvement, and meeting established goals and benchmarks
Must have strong analytical, communication, and financial leadership skills in addition to strong computer skills.
Must be self-directed and organized, with the ability to work on multiple projects, prioritize work tasks and meet deadlines.
Prior experience with budget development, financial forecasting, assessment of cost effectiveness of systems, people, space planning and personnel management
Reputation as a change agent with high degrees of influence regardless of the reporting relationships.
Demonstrated success with applying performance improvement methodologies, project team facilitation and/or system development applications
Proven track record of working collaboratively with physicians and executive administration in a healthcare environment

What Business Analysis contributes to Cardinal Health
Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
Business Analysis serves as a liaison between the organization's businesses and IT systems development teams to align business strategies and capability needs and to ensure IT systems enable their desired value. This job family identifies and analyzes business needs, defines requirements and objectives, and makes recommendations for solutions using new and existing technologies. This job family researches and documents relationships between the components of the application system (i.e., end users, business processes, data, applications, and devices) and translates business requirements into application requirements.
In this position you will be responsible for understanding the warehouse application landscape and capabilities, as well as troubleshooting, and supporting the Manhattan Warehouse Management System Solutions. You will maintain relationships with the business and leverage requirements for engineering practices and methods to enable improved business processes to drive business success. You will align business strategies and capability needs into business and technical requirements to ensure IT warehouse systems enable the desired value. Support will include, but is not limited to, support for monitoring, compliance and security requests, incident management, defect resolution, small enhancements, change requests, interface support, 3rd party liaison.
Responsibilities

Configure, implement, troubleshoot and support Manhattan WMS solutions including Labor Management and SCI Reporting.

Troubleshoot and provide support for Manhattan solutions, including other applications that facilitate warehouse operations.
-
Work in an agile environment, including requirements definition and functional specification.
-
Drive process and productivity improvements based on analysis of existing operations and system capabilities.
-
Ensure alignment of customer and business process enhancement requests with the core system scope, including service restoration of warehouse critical applications
Qualifications
-
4-8 years of experience, preferred
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent working experience, preferred
-
Minimum 2 years of experience with Manhattan Active WMS (MAWM), preferred
-
Strong supply chain experience with functional knowledge of Distribution and 3PL Logistics.
-
Deep understanding in configurations, implementations, and troubleshooting of Manhattan solutions.
-
Ability to research and recommend custom designs to resolve client issues.
-
Experience in interface mapping with downstream and upstream systems.
-
Health insurance background and/or health systems experience would be instrumental to this role
-
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret business customer needs and translate them into functional requirements
-
Ability to excel working in a team environment and adapt to rapidly changing business needs and shifting priorities
-
Ability to understand and document complex business processes and workflows utilizing tools such Microsoft Visio.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
