Finished Goods Handler Details

Identify the sort for the carts you are responsible for. Placing finished products into the correct carts according to the width & Length of the pieces.

Place each piece with the following criteria:
  • Top, bottom and outside pieces will be the longest
  • All edges will be free of knots, wane, and other defects
  • Bundle must be square with edge boards against the pipes of the cart
  • Build each bundle until full and finish off with a nice top layer
  • Push out finished bundle for forklift to remove
Finished Goods Handler Qualifications
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Detail oriented
  • Self-motivated, organized and able to multi-task
  • Great attitude
  • Standing for long periods of time, bending and stooping
  • Employment is contingent on successfully passing a physical examination, including drug screening
Nice to Have Skills
  • Previous experience as a warehouse worker preferred
  • Basic math skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide, read a measuring tape, calipers, digital indicators)
  • High School degree preferred, but not required

**Meaningful Work From Day One:**
This position will work with production operations, customer service, and logistics to support all Finished Goods operational and supply chain functions. This will include but not limited to leading hourly operators, daily production planning and scheduling, Carrier appointments planning and scheduling, generating task for operators, drive continuous improvement initiative, Coaching team members support improvement and development in all areas of SMQPDC (Safety, Morale, Quality, Production, Delivery, Cost). Candidate will help facilitate and assist with dock flow and delivery of all inbound and outbounds finished goods to BFL. Schedule appointments for all outbound shipment and loadout appointments for carriers. Provide customer service support daily while maintaining staffing and resources for over 5 million cases in production receipts annually. This role will primarily support 2nd shift operations but will be needed to flex to other shifts as necessary to support the business.
**What You Can Expect**
● Monitor performance of hourly employees to ensure expectations in activities such as order picking, shipment load out, and other warehouse functions as needed.
● Coordinate staffing needs to support production, order pick and outbound delivery.
● Investigate equipment and system failures and provide trouble-shooting guidance to operators on equipment.
● Enter maintenance work orders for repairs of equipment and machine sin Shipping 3.

● Conduct and lead daily shift meetings and Gemba walk
● Generate daily task for all dock operation to the tune of 6 million cases annually.

+ Pay for skills program - earn up to an additional $/hr.
+ Shift premium for 2nd & 3rd shifts: 1/hr.
+ Up to 4,000 annual performance bonus
**Schedule:** Immediate 1st shift (Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm)
**Job Overview:** Associates will receive, store, and distribute material and products within the distribution center.
**Principal Duties & Responsibilities:**
+ Unloads, separates, counts, and verifies products received
+ Uses RF Handheld units to move products and/or load trucks
+ Assembles and secures customer orders on pallets in specified dock location
+ Replenishes materials in the cutting area
+ Uses machinery to measure and cut product
+ Assist with cycle counting
+ Supports the facility's quality program
+ Complies with all safety policies and procedures
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Can perform basic reading, writing, arithmetic, and computer functions
+ Able to communicate and cooperate with other associates
+ High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
**Physical Demand:**

Job Summary/Objective:
The Raw Material Handler performs required transactions into/out of warehouse. Supports production floor by supplying all materials required for the successful production of optical cables. Returns unneeded and unused materials to the proper warehouse location, with proper weights and paperwork required. Assist logistics department as required by logistic manager performing cycle counts, monthly inventories, and all other requirements.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
+ Moves reels to stock locations.
+ Verifies shipment packing lists to actual product in location.
+ Loads verified finished goods pallets onto outbound trailers.
+ Unloads raw material from inbound deliveries.
+ Locates raw material into warehouse bin locations.
+ Withdraws material and moves to manufacturing line as needed.
+ Completes cycle counts and audits of bin locations.
+ Prep reels for shipment and secure reels to pallets.
+ Load reels on trucks and flatbeds.
+ Must maintain fork truck license.
+ Loads, unloads, and, with the use of approved tools, moves reels to appropriate locations in accordance with operations workflows.
+ Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Identifies any potential safety hazards to Team Lead, or HSE Manager to promote the "Zero and Beyond" safety goal/initiative.
+ Completes all operator Preventative Maintenance (PM) duties and 6S tasks daily.
+ Adheres to all company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations in effect presently, and adheres to any approved changes implemented from senior leadership.
+ All duties assigned by supervisor or shift lead.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Basic mathematic skills-adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and basic percentages.
+ Previous manufacturing experience
+ Must achieve required hours of OJT/ peer training and pass certification test within probationary time period.
+ Ability to learn and comprehend written instructions (daily operations tasks, and hazardous materials handling)
+ Ability to utilize hand tools in compliance with all safety guidelines.
+ Willing to work 12-hour night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills
+ Tactful and professional manner
+ Ability to reflect and uphold company mission, vision and values in daily conduct.
+ Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. on your own.
+ Ability to stoop, bend at the waist, stand, and sit as needed to reach product while working (up to 12 hours)
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Previous manufacturing experience with plastic extrusion, fiber optic cables, or electronics
+ Experience working with Continuous Improvement (CI), or Lean processes.
+ Lean or CI certifications
+ Previous HFA/SAP/FastTrack experience
+ Previous experience operating a forklift.
