Manually load all size Mattresses on to trucks according to shipping documents. This work is repetitious and involves lifting products of up to 180 lbs. with assistance on a constant basis. This position does NOT operate a forklift

Work Schedule: Tuesday - Friday 6:00am to 4:45pm. Overtime is often required due to production schedule.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Sort items as they are packed and placed on carts by delivery location.

**Meaningful Work From Day One:**
This position will work with production operations, customer service, and logistics to support all Finished Goods operational and supply chain functions. This will include but not limited to leading hourly operators, daily production planning and scheduling, Carrier appointments planning and scheduling, generating task for operators, drive continuous improvement initiative, Coaching team members support improvement and development in all areas of SMQPDC (Safety, Morale, Quality, Production, Delivery, Cost). Candidate will help facilitate and assist with dock flow and delivery of all inbound and outbounds finished goods to BFL. Schedule appointments for all outbound shipment and loadout appointments for carriers. Provide customer service support daily while maintaining staffing and resources for over 5 million cases in production receipts annually. This role will primarily support 2nd shift operations but will be needed to flex to other shifts as necessary to support the business.

● Monitor performance of hourly employees to ensure expectations in activities such as order picking, shipment load out, and other warehouse functions as needed.
● Coordinate staffing needs to support production, order pick and outbound delivery.
● Investigate equipment and system failures and provide trouble-shooting guidance to operators on equipment.
● Enter maintenance work orders for repairs of equipment and machine sin Shipping 3.
● Respond and record load out appointment for carriers to ensure bill of lading and equipment availability for daily operations per BFDO principles.
● Develop, implement and evaluate job specific skills training for each individual employee within natural work team.
● Maintain a safe work environment and promote accident prevention by eliminating potential hazards through creating work orders.
● Provide support to the shipping department by preparing monthly late shipment report in SAP to ensure accuracy of data.
● Serve as liaison between bottling department and shipping to ensure proper communication to all operators.
● Provide Operational Support to Pinnacle to ensure accurate receipt entry and checks and balances in into SAP.
● Lead and Assist PPL with coordination of order-pick and ensuring accurate put-away for all production receipts.
● Perform daily safety and quality Audit to ensure BFDO standards are met.
● Work closely with yard driver for daily movement of equipment to accommodate production and delivery operations
● Lead and assist with bottling process order confirmation accuracy performed by Union Production Operators to insure timely and accurate entry.
● Conduct and lead daily shift meetings and Gemba walk
● Generate daily task for all dock operation to the tune of 6 million cases annually.

Job Summary/Objective:
The Raw Material Handler performs required transactions into/out of warehouse. Supports production floor by supplying all materials required for the successful production of optical cables. Returns unneeded and unused materials to the proper warehouse location, with proper weights and paperwork required. Assist logistics department as required by logistic manager performing cycle counts, monthly inventories, and all other requirements.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
+ Moves reels to stock locations.
+ Verifies shipment packing lists to actual product in location.
+ Loads verified finished goods pallets onto outbound trailers.
+ Unloads raw material from inbound deliveries.
+ Locates raw material into warehouse bin locations.
+ Withdraws material and moves to manufacturing line as needed.
+ Completes cycle counts and audits of bin locations.
+ Prep reels for shipment and secure reels to pallets.
+ Load reels on trucks and flatbeds.
+ Must maintain fork truck license.
+ Loads, unloads, and, with the use of approved tools, moves reels to appropriate locations in accordance with operations workflows.
+ Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Identifies any potential safety hazards to Team Lead, or HSE Manager to promote the "Zero and Beyond" safety goal/initiative.
+ Completes all operator Preventative Maintenance (PM) duties and 6S tasks daily.
+ Adheres to all company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations in effect presently, and adheres to any approved changes implemented from senior leadership.
+ All duties assigned by supervisor or shift lead.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Basic mathematic skills-adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and basic percentages.
+ Previous manufacturing experience
+ Must achieve required hours of OJT/ peer training and pass certification test within probationary time period.
+ Ability to learn and comprehend written instructions (daily operations tasks, and hazardous materials handling)
+ Ability to utilize hand tools in compliance with all safety guidelines.
+ Willing to work 12-hour night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills
+ Tactful and professional manner
+ Ability to reflect and uphold company mission, vision and values in daily conduct.
+ Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. on your own.
+ Ability to stoop, bend at the waist, stand, and sit as needed to reach product while working (up to 12 hours)
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Previous manufacturing experience with plastic extrusion, fiber optic cables, or electronics
+ Experience working with Continuous Improvement (CI), or Lean processes.
+ Lean or CI certifications
+ Previous HFA/SAP/FastTrack experience
+ Previous experience operating a forklift.
