At Utz Quality Foods, we have expanded our Kings Mountain, NC manufacturing facility and looking for a dedicated Finished Goods Handler to join our team. This hands-on role will involve material handling, operating a forklift, and supporting our packaging operations to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Move finished product from the packing area to the warehouse using pallet jacks or a forklift.
  • Accurately scan finished goods into inventory using scanning equipment.
  • Pull and stage orders for WDC, Repack, and HDC; transport product from Platform 4 to Platform 3.
  • Provide necessary production components as needed.
  • Perform general line support duties, including moving product with a hand jack and lifting cartons up to 45 pounds.
  • Maintain proper code rotation and integrity of product rows during pulling and storage.
  • Load trailers safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with daily and weekly cleaning of floors and equipment in the packing area.
  • Follow all safety protocols; report unsafe conditions or equipment to the supervisor immediately.
  • Work collaboratively with team members across different departments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a forklift license.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 + years' experience in an Export Supply Chain or Logistics environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize ERP systems and proficient use of Microsoft Office.
  • NOTE: After hours and weekend coverage occasionally required.

**Meaningful Work From Day One:**
This position will work with production operations, customer service, and logistics to support all Finished Goods operational and supply chain functions. ● Monitor performance of hourly employees to ensure expectations in activities such as order picking, shipment load out, and other warehouse functions as needed.

● Conduct and lead daily shift meetings and Gemba walk
● Generate daily task for all dock operation to the tune of 6 million cases annually.

Job Description

At Utz Quality Foods , we take pride in our legacy of producing high-quality snacks while fostering a team environment where career growth, dedication, and customer focus are valued. We're looking for motivated individuals to join our Birmingham, AL manufacturing team as a Finished Goods Handler on 2nd shift (Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) .

This is your opportunity to be an essential part of our operations, ensuring products move efficiently from production to distribution while maintaining our high standards of quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

  • Move product from conveyor lines into the correct storage rows and scan into inventory

  • Unload inbound trailers and place purchased products into inventory

  • Assist with physical inventories as needed

  • Load trailers with finished products for distributors and distribution centers, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail

  • Read load sheets to determine quantity and location of each skid for proper loading

  • Maintain the integrity of inventory rows and stands when pulling or unloading products

  • Stack empty pallets and place products on conveyors

  • Work proactively with team members across multiple departments

  • Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe

  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor


Requirements :

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license

  • Basic math and reading skills

  • Knowledge of product types, locations, and truck loading procedures (on-the-job training provided)

  • Commitment to workplace safety and wearing required protective equipment and non-slip shoes

  • A team-oriented attitude and willingness to contribute to a fast-paced environment
