Job Description
As a member of the highly skilled and optical engineering team, you will contribute to the end-to-end development of viewing optics and optical system hardware for Meta's Mixed Reality (MR) products. In this role, you will work collaboratively to address unique technical challenges related to optical materials, manufacturing processes, and system integration. Your efforts will focus on achieving performance, quality, and affordability targets for MR hardware that our customers will be delighted to use daily.
**Required Skills:**
Finite Element Analysis Engineer Responsibilities:
1. Establish finite element models/analytical models of optical components, subassemblies and module assemblies of VR optical systems
2. Own and drive failure analysis, design of experiments, and material characterization to support modeling results
3. Provide directions of design, process changes and corrective actions to the team to meet product performance requirements
4. Communicate and report analysis results to cross-functional teams
**Minimum Qualifications:**
