Assistant Fitness Manager Job Description:
Golds Gym Personal Training provides customized fitness programs to our members while educating and guiding them on proper nutrition, cardiovascular exercise, resistance training and attaining a healthier lifestyle. Clients sign up to be motivated, educated, and held accountable while working towards their fitness goals. The Assistant Fitness Manager guides potential clients through the sale of a fitness training program and coordinates their first fit test, pairing them with a Personal Trainer.

Head Coach
SUMMARY: The primary role of the Head Coach is to provide a world-class experience to all customers in the facility; this is done through fitness consultations, evaluations, and regular check-ins with current customers. The Head Coach needs to have customer service in the front of their mind to build relationships with their customers. This position is also responsible for building and maintaining financial profiles for personal training customers. As the leader of the club's personal training department as well as a team of personal trainers, this position calls for strong leadership skills, proficient social skills, and a commitment to growth.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sales and Portfolio Management- Maintain accurate financial profiles for personal training members and promote the department's financial growth. This position is directly responsible for the personal training sales, and financial growth of the personal training department at their location.
- Facility Management- Maintain the integrity of the facility and equipment.
- Service Standards- Provide excellent customer service, which includes regular engagement with members such as helping them to create and achieve goals.
- Customer Satisfaction- Make decisions regarding positive and negative feedback, cessation of personal training membership requests, and other inquiries.
- Community Involvement- Build and maintain business to business relationships, attend local community events.
- Brand Ambassador- Exemplify what it means to be an Anytime Fitness team member by working everyday to better yourself and those around you.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
- Directly supervises 2-5 employees within the facility.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; appraising performance; maintaining work schedules; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

The Fitness Manager (FM) ensures that the club delivers a high quality fitness experience to all members.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Ensure that all Personal Trainers are delivering high quality programs to their clients
- Ensure accurate administration of Personal Training including client files, measurement tracking, and workout programs
- Regularly train staff on industry updates and coaches personal trainers to be continually successful to ensure that all clients are trained professionally
- Direct selling, including achievement of personal monthly sales quotas
- Conduct personal training sessions as necessary
- 1-2 years as a Personal Trainer preferred
- Prior management experience in retail/hospitality industry leading 3-10 employees (preferred)
- Consultative sales experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of Personal Training technique and program design
- Must be able to adjust and operate all club equipment
- Experience in coaching/motivating groups
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills
- Possesses a strong member service focus.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- At least one approved National Personal Training Certification (listed below):

- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

24 Hour Fitness offers benefit programs designed to meet the diverse needs of all team members, including health coverage, as well as Company paid benefits that are automatically provided at no cost, such as group life and accident insurance. Compensation Summary
All Employees: Free Club Membership, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Basic Group Live and AD&D Insurance ($10,000), and 401k Savings and Investment Plan.
Average of 30 hours or more per week: Medical/Dental/Vision Benefits, Paid Time Off, and Sickness Benefits (in addition to the above).
