**Our Team**
ETS unites all of Bloomberg's cross-asset electronic trading platforms into one team, delivering trading solutions and analytics to both our Buyside and Sellside clients. **What's the role?**
As an Electronic Trading Salesperson, you will be responsible for managing and growing our Electronic Trading franchise across a specific fixed income asset class. This is primarily accomplished by building deep, value-focused relationships with clients, and engaging with them on ways they can grow and advance their business, by partnering with Bloomberg for their Trading and Analysis needs.
The Electronic Trading Solutions team is looking expand its footprint by focusing on several specialist areas:
-Investment Grade and High Yield Credit
-Cash Rates
-Fixed Income Derivatives (IRS, CDS)
All Salespeople are expected to work with our Account Managers on their book of clients, and to develop a deep understanding of the clients' business, workflows, and ET needs. With the goal of growing the participation from established firms, and onboarding new clients to our trading platforms, you will be driving impact for both ETS and the overall Enterprise Sales department. As the forefront of our ET client engagement, you will be expected to gather, organize, and share product feedback with other internal stakeholders (ie: Product, Sales Mgmt, etc) to ensure we continue to deliver what the market requires for Bloomberg to become or remain the leading ET provider in all areas where we compete.
**We will trust you to:**
-Hit direct revenue targets from Electronic Trading growth
-Build an in-depth understanding around our client's workflow for direct execution
-Collaborate with all groups within Enterprise Sales in furthering our electronic trading franchise. Contribute to their overall revenue growth
-Take responsibility for growing our client base by through prospecting, relationship management, referrals, cross-selling and attending external events/conferences
-Provide detailed feedback to our product development teams to help us continuously improve so we can anticipate our client's future needs.

**You will need to have:**
-SIE, series 7 and 63 expected to be obtained within the first 3 months if not already licensed.
-Deep understanding of financial markets, the electronic trading process, including STP, and OMS/EMS connectivity
-Strong understanding and keen interest to learn relevant aspects of regulatory, market structure and compliance impacts to electronic trading
-Knowledge of fixed-income electronic trading products and landscape, specifically of one of the asset classes listed above.

Public Group - Fixed Income Strategies - Product Associate (Newport Beach, CA)

We are seeking an Associate to join the Product Strategy Group responsible for Fixed Income Strategies at PIMCO. The role will be part of a broader development program for associates to build skillsets relevant to succeeding in the next stage of their career. It will support the team across dimensions of global client service, business management, and product development, including for example:

  • Performing detailed portfolio risk and performance attribution to combine with economic commentary for ongoing monthly/quarterly reporting to investors

  • Responding to ad hoc inquiries related to fixed income strategies, both externally (clients) and internally across groups

  • Creating content relevant to key messaging for the strategies by type of client (e.g., retail vs institutional), well as maintaining marketing and other general education materials

  • Contributing to new business development including RFP reviews, and creation of pitch-books and other strategy marketing materials

  • Helping set and execute team priorities, leading projects, and mentoring junior colleagues

  • Assisting in the development of new products and custom solutions for institutional clients

  • Managing research projects related to competitors and industry topics

Target skillset:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, or other related disciplines

  • 2-3 years of experience of relevant work experience, ideally in investment management, alongside a passion for markets more broadly

  • General familiarity across fixed income asset classes e.g. rates, FX, MBS, corporate credit, emerging markets, equities, and commodities

  • Knowledge of and experience with ETF vehicle and marketplace

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities - exhibiting quantitative, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Driven and a self-starter, with a demonstrated ability to deliver results in a dynamic environment.

  • Ability to organize, distill, and communicate complex topics effectively via both verbal and written communication

  • Ability to work effectively and professionally with all levels of personnel both internally and externally. The role will also require building strong internal relationships across the firm including with account management, legal, operations, and portfolio management teams, for example.

  • Advanced Excel skills (any VBA/programming experience viewed favorably)

  • CFA designation, or active status in program, encouraged

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance. Salary Range: $ 105,000.00 - $ 115,000.00
