Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) has an opening for an **Associate Project Management/ Project Management** to join the Operations Project Management team supporting Production. The position requires on-site support located in **Palmdale, CA.** This dynamic role works directly with the production IPT to manage shop floor constraints, in-house part fabrications, section readiness reviews, and project management of schedules impacting the IPT. Assess project risks/issues and provide mitigation strategies by developing mechanisms that monitor project progress. Execute work release orders that mitigate baseline requirement impacts to production. Provide insight on change execution and work with the functional teams to compile lessons learned. This a highly visible position that works directly with Production Leadership.
**Associate Project Management (Level 1)** :

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Summary
HII’s Mission Technologies division is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge solutions that advance national security and defense objectives. This position is part of our Cyber and Intelligence division, which plays a critical role in supporting Enterprise-Level Security and Modernization efforts across IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, physical facilities, and personnel operations. The selected candidate will contribute to a high-impact government program focused on enhancing and securing mission-critical systems and environments. The program is scheduled to launch in early 2026 and due to the classified nature of the mission and the sensitivity of the operational environment, an active TS/SCI security clearance will be required.
What You Will Do

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.

What We Are Looking For: Minimum Qualifications

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an experienced **Principal Project Manager** / **Sr. Principal Project Manager** to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This Position is located onsite **in Rancho Bernardo, CA or Palmdale, CA.**
This project management position will support the IPT Manager and leadership team on a restricted effort in Rancho Bernardo, CA or Palmdale, CA, with some travel between NGC sites as required. Teleworking is not available as an option. The overall responsibilities include executable tasks that will enable program leadership to achieve operational excellence.
Primary duties will include facilitating coordination within the IPT and within a particular Business Area, managing the operational aspects of ongoing projects, and serving as liaison between project management and planning, project teams, other management team members, and program Functions.
**Regular responsibilities may include the following:**
Review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules, and prepare status reports

Support of new business proposal writing and team organization

Maintaining organization charts
Conduct business travel up to 25% of the time from assigned work location.
**Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Project Management:**
Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience in Project Management, Program Integration/Execution; or 6 years with master's degree
Current, active DoD Secret clearance within 6 years of last investigation / adjudication with eh ability to obtain and maintain Special Program access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
Experience with Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project)
Knowledge of Project Management principles
**Basic Qualifications for Principal Project Management:**

Primary Level Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $36,800.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: 113,500.00 - 170,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
