Job Summary: Under the direction of the Inventory Coordinator/Lead Driver, the Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting food, equipment, materials, and supplies between High Tech High's campuses. The FNS Driver is also responsible for maintaining the vehicle in a safe and sanitary operating condition, and assisting in other areas of the FNS program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. 1. Transport food and supplies amongst all High Tech High campuses in a district vehicle.
2. Maintain assigned vehicle (e.g. fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, tire pressure, etc.) to ensure safe operation of vehicle and sanitation of transported food items.
3. Follow traffic laws and drive safely to ensure the safety of the driver, others on the road, condition of vehicles and food.
4. Ensure that all food delivery is completed on time to meet schedule demands.
5. Responsible for accurate delivery of food and supplies as well as the condition of food and supplies.
6. Prepares food items, supplies, and/or equipment to provide requested items at designated sites.
7. Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas.
1. Follow assigned cleaning responsibilities.
8. Immediately inform the FNS Director/Supervisor of delay or emergency mechanical failure.
9. Upon return to the kitchen, unload vehicle and place all equipment in appropriate storage areas.
10. Adheres to food and safety handling policies and HACCP and PPE procedures.
11. May interact with customers following organizational customer service standards, Interactions may involve solving food quality issues.
12. Read and respond to all emails in a timely manner.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Related Work Experience To qualify for this position, an individual must possess any combination of experience and education that would ensure being able to meet and fulfill job requirements.
• High school diploma, completion of G.E.D.
• Minimum of 1 year of general warehouse or driver experience.
Licenses, Registrations or Certifications
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid California Food Handlers Permit.
• Valid California non-commercial class driver's license

The Food Service Worker/Delivery Driver will be responsible for driving a company vehicle for an established route/territory. They will assist in the loading, unloading, and delivering goods to customer locations. They will also be responsible for assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. This position will also accurately and efficiently prepare and serve a variety of food items in accordance with assigned work instructions and menus as well as utilize a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

This role assists the Chef and Sous Chef Supervisor with general operations that contribute to the achievement of the store's goals, customer service, and quality improvement activities. This job ensures service standards are met and surpassed by providing customers with prompt service, and quality products, all while maintaining a clean, sanitized and comfortable store environment including prepping ingredients for next day's production needs as assigned. Responsibilities also include processing transactions through the cash register and accurately maintaining daily cash drawer. This position is also responsible for maintaining the prep area to include setting up the equipment in the store for service. Responsibilities also include consistency in excellent customer service to ensure optimal customer satisfaction. This position's responsibilities also include delivering food items and supplies using the department catering van as needed to designated locations.
Education & Experience:
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent certificate.
Four years' experience in food preparation, handling, and presentation of foods in hotel, restaurant, institutional or retail cafeteria setting.
Demonstrated knowledge of weights and measures, perform mathematical calculations used in recipe conversions.
Must be able to follow and relay oral and detailed written instructions, effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to perform duties throughout shift that require standing, walking, pushing up to 400# rolling carts, pulling, stooping, lifting up to 50# containers, and withstand extreme temperatures of hot and cold for periods of time
Twelve semester hours of food production courses preferred.
Must have acceptable driving record to obtain driving privileges at CCHCS.
Certification/Licensure:
Must have City of Ft. Worth Food Handlers Card prior to employment.
Card must be current at all times during employment.
Must have CCHCS approved Driving Status and take annual defensive driving course via Chex.

About This PositionThis position is working inside a jail/correctional facility at the Craven County Jail and transporting meals to the Beaufort County Jail.
The Food Service Worker/Delivery Driver will be responsible for driving a company vehicle for an established route/territory. They will assist in the loading, unloading, and delivering goods to customer locations. They will also be responsible for assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. This position will also accurately and efficiently prepare and serve a variety of food items in accordance with assigned work instructions and menus as well as utilize a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

Essential Functions/Core Responsibilities
- Learning the delivery area.
- Checking orders for quality and accuracy.
- Following proper delivery procedures.
- Assist with food preparation, serving, and kitchen maintenance, cleaning, and sanitizing as needed.
- Assist with receiving food and supply deliveries from vendors and restocking.
- Transfer supplies and equipment by hand or with cart as identified by supervisor to the proper location.
- Gather supplies required for each site as detailed on production sheets and order guides.
- Load, Unload, and deliver products and orders in a timely manner.
- Report any necessary maintenance or repairs needed on the company vehicle to the manager.
- Responsible for maintaining and keeping the vehicle clean
- This role includes physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
- Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift when not driving.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or Equivalent, and you must be at least 18 years of age.
- One (1) years' experience in delivering products/inventory preferred.
- A valid state driver's license for assigned vehicles is required.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to transport and set up food and food service items.
- Knowledge of safe driving procedures and traffic rules.
- Strong team orientation.
