Food Distribution - Delivery Driver

Job Description
We operate a weekly food distribution every Friday afternoon at the Live Oak Health Center, from 3-4pm.
We provide a walk-up style food distribution, giving away bags of fresh produce and boxes of non-perishable goods to anyone in the community. However, not everyone who is in need of this service is able to come in person and, to account for their needs, we maintain a list of homes that we deliver food to. Our deliveries have been a lifeline for many of our homebound patients in need.
This opportunity is for delivery drivers. We need insured drivers with a clean driving record and their own reliable transportation, to deliver food to homes in the Live Oak area. Volunteers should be prepared to lift and carry produce bags weighing up to 25 lbs. We provide wagons on site to help you load your vehicle. We loan magnets for you to use to identify yourself as a volunteer. We ask that volunteers arrive to pick up the food for delivery at 2:00pm. Delivery takes around 1 to 1.5 hours. We can coordinate a later delivery window -- as late as 3:30pm -- as needed
Please contact if you are interested or have any questions.
