**Food Innovation Research and Development Internship:**
In this internship you will have the opportunity to work in the Food Innovation team that works across the food segments. Food Innovation is one of Cargill's corporate research and development groups. This is a growing area within Cargill, and impacts the full range of Cargill's food and ingredient offerings. Our scope includes projects that provide customer solutions from conception through commercialization at both Cargill's and partner operating facilities. We have a diverse range of talents in innovation with expertise in sweetners, starches, cocoa and chocolate, oils, plant and animal proteins, packaging engineering, and collaboration and external partnerships.
The Food Innovation group at Cargill will provide students with a background in food science or related discipline, the opportunity to apply knowledge in a commercial setting. The internship program is designed to provide students with appropriate projects that bring value to Cargill.
We are looking for food scientists that are enthusiastic about the food industry and tackling product development, researching new ingredients and technologies, and collaborating across Cargill.
**Your Work:**
You will be assigned to one or two projects that will be substantive in nature. You will be the primary technical contributor for work on the project, with leadership support from Food Innovation Research and Development team. Interns will have the opportunity to:

**Internship Details:**

**Compensation:**
The expected hourly rate for this position is $25.00 - $27.00. Compensation decisions are dependent on grad date and eligibility for full-time employment.

The Colorado State University ( CSU ) System, along with its partners, has developed a unique and exciting public facility called CSU Spur at the National Western Center in Denver, Colorado. The CSU Spur campus houses three buildings focused on water, food and agriculture, human and animal health, and sustainability. Within the Spur buildings, CSU conducts research and convenes experts from around the globe; students of all ages engage with science and have opportunities for exploratory learning, transforming their thinking about food, water, and health, and the careers available in these fields; and partners join in programming the space and bringing evolving content to the year-round campus. Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Operations Specialist to join our team at CSU Spur's Food Innovation Center. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our state-of-the-art facilities dedicated to food research, development, and innovation.
Position Minimum Qualifications
+ At least 1 year experience in a fast-paced food service or similar environment.
+ Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with a keen eye for detail.
+ Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels of an organization.
+ Ability to communicate effectively in English (reading and writing)
+ Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

+ A relevant food handling certification or the ability to acquire one within 60 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
