This operating company (OpCo) based position will assist with the implementation of prevention-focused health, safety, and environmental (HSE) and security programs. The position will assist and promote OpCo-specific project implementation and training to support Sysco's overall HSE objectives, including security and crisis preparedness objectives.

Muenster Milling is hiring for a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor at our newest Freeze-Dried facility in Denton, Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the daily operations in the Freeze-Dried room, including collaborating with all functional areas within the business to drive continuous improvement to achieve key KPIs, best organize workflows and analyze the efficiency of manufacturing processes, under the supervision of the Production Manager. This role requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to operational excellence, and the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.

This is a hands-on position working alongside their team; not an office-based role.This role requires supervision of 8+ employees. This is a full-time salary exempt position to support our production expansion. The expansion will include a shift in our working schedule and the proposed schedule and expectation is that you can manage a team on this schedule: 2-2-3 shift (Week 1: Monday/Tuesday working, Wednesday/Thursday off, Friday/Saturday/Sunday working; Week 2: Monday/Tuesday off, Wednesday/Thursday working, Friday/Saturday/Sunday off).

You will train alongside the current Production leaders supporting our current daytime shift starting at 7:00am, Monday-Friday, with some Saturdays. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays is required per production schedule.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Personal Characteristics:

  • 2+ years in a Supervisory capacity with demonstrated successful results.

The successful candidate will serve as the key financial advisor to the plant management team, providing strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the plant. This role will be responsible for all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the finance and accounting functions of the plant.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including monthly profit and loss by division, forecast vs budget by division, and weekly cash flow by division.
  • Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports appropriate for users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met including taxation and other regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit and liaise with the external auditors as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
  • Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting as compared to budget.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing cost accounting.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel, and experience with financial software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities to enable sound judgment.
  • Strong leadership qualities and the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment is required.

Job Summary

As a Sanitation Lead, you will be responsible for sanitizing and ensuring cleanliness of the facility/equipment. This role requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sanitation and sanitary design standards by creating guidelines for optimizing cleaning and disinfection processes, ensuring standardization across facilities, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide technical support by offering deep subject matter expertise in sanitation and sanitary design to other teams within the organization. Assess new equipment and processes: Ensuring that new or modified equipment adheres to sanitary design principles and regulatory requirements before purchase and installation.
  • Investigate non-conformities by collaborating with the cross functional team to determine the root cause of sanitation issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Educating staff on proper cleaning practices and sanitation procedures is a critical part of the role. Stay current on emerging sanitation technologies, regulatory changes, and industry trends; proactively implement improvements to enhance food safety and operational efficiency.
  • Provide leadership and direction for corporate, fostering a culture of food safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Develop, mentor and support sanitation managers across locations through coaching and expertise to drive performance and engagement.
  • Direct sanitation team to meet the daily objectives for QA and production with a continued focus on plant wide CIP
  • Develops sanitation procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), USDA and FDA regulations for all sanitation tasks.
  • Maintains GMP provisions and monitors employee practices that relate to cleanliness, sanitation and pest control.

Food Safety Responsibilities
  • Understand and follow hygienic zone and plant program requirements
  • Can perform ATP & allergen testing
  • Adhere to Standard Work requirements and properly use GMP apparel to protect food from cross-contamination and allergen cross-contact
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Verify food safety and quality records from sanitation operations, before submitting to QA team
  • Understand and effectively use PPE as needed

  • Redzone experience preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external partners.
  • Ability to work other days/hours as needed.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
