The Designer II will focus on and elevate UA Footwear. + Work directly under category design director to design and manage multiple product platforms that answers product and merchandising brief, price point and margin target. Collaborate with cross-functional design partners on signature, amp pack and special collections

The Minnesota Department of Information Technology Services (MNIT), partnering with the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), is seeking a vendor to provide resource(s) to perform SharePoint design and development duties for the MDH intranet website.

MDH’s intranet website is instrumental in helping MDH staff do their work. It contains operational information in such areas as human resources, finance, facilities, technology, and communications. It is also a portal to many business applications used daily at MDH. Please see the Buyer Attachment (MDH Intranet Page List) for a list of the pages on the current site.

The work under this engagement consists of moving the MDH intranet site from the current CMS (Liferay) to SharePoint. The vendor’s resource(s) will evaluate the current information architecture to determine how it could be built as a SharePoint Communication site; suggest changes in content organization, structure, and navigation as needed; create a graphic design that combines the needs and desires of MDH intranet owners as well as the capabilities of SharePoint templates; create SharePoint templates as well as a permission scheme; build the SharePoint site using the new templates and design; and populate the site with existing content as applicable.

The work order may be amended/extended in the future to include additional duties/cost pertaining to the implementation of the new MDH intranet site.

Work will be performed off-site/remotely. The vendor’s resources must be located within the borders of the United States and be available for meetings during regular business hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday.

Resource Need

This request is for a single vendor to supply one or more resources to perform the services on an hourly basis as the needs of the engagement warrant. The Department of Computer Science at UCCS has excelled in preparing undergraduates for careers in the computing industry locally and nationally, by providing a wide variety of ABET-accredited classes of high quality. The department has over 500 majors across all the programs. We also offer several graduate level programs to suit the needs of full-time students as well as working individuals in the area.

**Summary**
The College of Engineering & Applied Science at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) will establish and maintain a pool of **Lecturers** in **Game Design and Development** from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure track positions will be made. Appointments are part-time (less than 50% time) and will be made semester-by-semester.
This position will teach Game Design and Development classes for the department of Computer Science. Classes may be on-campus, online, or hybrid. Examples of courses/subject area include the following:
+ Introduction to Game Development (using GameMaker Studio 2)
+ Introductory Programming for Game Developers (using C# and Unity)
+ Object-Oriented Design, Analysis, and Implementation (using C# and Unity)
+ Game Design for Diverse Populations (using GameMaker Studio 2)
+ Special Topics in Game Design (various topics in game design and game art)
+ Special Topics in Game Programming (various topics in game programming)
**Essential Functions**
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
+ Provide instruction to undergraduate/graduate students based on course modality including class and/or lab preparation, administering exams, grading, and maintaining office hours.
+ Maintain, develop and schedule student learning experiences to achieve desired learning outcomes.
+ Plan, develop, and implement evaluation tools to assess student progress towards course learning objectives.
+ Be familiar with learning management systems, such as Canvas.
+ Other duties as determined by the Department Chair.

The Manufacturing Design and Development Director is responsible for leading and developing a team of manufacturing engineers, manufacturing engineering technicians and specialists with the responsibility for developing, validating, and implementing: manufacturing processes, documentation and flow; production equipment and tooling; facility layout and improvements; and, support of design for manufacturing, sourcing, and quality aspects for new product introductions and major improvement initiatives.

This role is responsible for leading efforts to optimize manufacturing operations through the design and integration of processes utilizing various engineering skill sets. Builds and develops processes, procedures, and tooling to support strategic direction and new programs. Leads the development and implementation of new and advanced technologies, tools, and processes that deliver future state operations capabilities in manufacturing.

This individual needs to be highly regarded in the areas of influencing and working across the organization as a senior leader.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Set the strategy and execution plan for manufacturing engineering on new product introduction projects, delivering a world-class, cost effective, quality production line with an efficient, effective, comprehensive, and on-time implementation.
  • Lead Manufacturing Engineering project management aspects for business case, design requirements, capital costs, schedule, risk, and resource budget development, monitoring, and execution.
  • Reduce overall cost in the manufacturing value stream by improving safety, quality, cost and delivery.
  • Lead manufacturing organization in the areas of Lean Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering Product Development, Design for Manufacturing, Tooling, and new product introductions.
  • Recruit, assign, direct, coach and evaluate engineers to support departmental and organization goals.
  • Ensure concurrent development of tool, process, and facilities planning in conjunction with design or rate change implementations. Conduct tool design, facilities plans, and planning sequence reviews as required.
  • Explore, propose, and lead the implementation of advanced manufacturing processes and technology including automation.
  • Direct development, implementation, and execution of Manufacturing product development policies and practices and incorporation of such into PD/NPI standards and training.
  • Establish and maintain critical relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster solutions and improved working relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Demonstrated Performance Competencies :

  • Minimum of 7 years in a similar management role with direct supervision.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Industrial/Manufacturing or combined combination of relevant education and experience
  • Proven ability to coach members with specific and measurable objectives in areas such as people management, leadership, and quality.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Aerospace background is preferred but not required.
  • Technical skills in Lean Manufacturing techniques, Kaizen, Process Improvement, materials management, production scheduling, concurrent design, product development, and project management.
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the company. Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively handle escalations and time critical issues. Remains productive, provides solutions, and meets goals in challenging situations.
  • Skilled at coordinating multiple efforts, organizing and prioritizing work, communicating technical issues, and supervising a team of individuals with differing levels of skill and experience, enabling them to achieve performance and quality standards.
  • Articulates ideas clearly and concisely in a variety of settings, adjusting the message to match the audience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
  • Proficient at maintaining budgets and cost effectiveness; interprets financial reports and takes appropriate corrective actions.
