We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented **Quality Control Inspector** to join our team in Winsted, CT. This role is critical to ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards. **Key Responsibilities:**
+ Perform visual inspections at various magnifications using magnifiers, microscopes, and related tools
+ Ensure all inspection equipment is properly calibrated before use
+ Maintain a clean and organized inspection station

+ Identify, segregate, and initiate Discrepancy Reports for nonconforming product
+ Comply with stamp control and sample traceability procedures
+ Review and understand new and revised specifications as required

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented **Quality Control Lead** to develop, implement, and oversee quality assurance standards and procedures. The QA Lead ensures that products, services, and processes meet internal requirements as well as customer expectations, contractual obligations, and applicable regulatory standards. This role is key in driving continuous improvement through data-driven analysis, root cause investigations, and proactive quality initiatives.
**Primary Responsibilities** :
+ Develop, implement, and maintain QA standards, processes, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry best practices and customer requirements.
+ Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify conformance with internal quality standards, ISO, CMMI, and other applicable quality management frameworks.
+ Identify quality issues and lead root cause analysis to implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
+ Monitor and evaluate operational processes and outputs to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and project management to resolve quality-related issues and ensure process alignment.

**Basic Qualifications**
+ TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field with 4-8 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 2-6 years of relevant experience. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
+ Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining technical QA/QC systems for complex products or systems.
+ Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to identify quality trends and drive decision-making.
+ Solid understanding and hands-on experience with quality control, testing operations, and requirements analysis.
+ Strong working knowledge of integration testing, system testing, and performance testing methodologies.
+ Ability to develop and execute test plans and apply structured troubleshooting approaches to identify root causes of defects.
+ Experience using or developing test automation frameworks and tools.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across internal and client-facing project teams.

**Job Summary**
The role is essential in ensuring in-process and finished products meet customer specifications. This role provides total manufacturing quality inspection services including quality inspection, quality control, sampling inspection, documentation and record keeping. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Perform sampling, inspections, and testing of in-process and finished goods products per applicable procedures and AQL plans, utilizing both visual means as well as calibrated test equipment to include laser micrometer, optical comparator and other equipment as applicable.
+ Release acceptable in-process and finished goods product for further processing and/or shipping as applicable per site.
+ Understand and follow applicable ISO standards requirements.
+ Perform review of inspection records to assure product conforms to specifications and proper documentation practices.
+ Retains sample of finished products and maintains all applicable documents to form batch records and ensures appropriate batch records disposition (i.e. filing, scanning etc.) as necessary.
+ Print documents from Master Control, shopfloor or other software program and manages documents related to the Quality System.
+ Segregate nonconforming product and handle quarantined product and raw materials as applicable by site.
+ Generate rejection and deviation reports as directed by site.
+ Perform trace back investigation of nonconforming raw material and product as directed by site.
+ Promotes and supports a Lean environment.
+ Conforms with and abides by all corporate and site-specific regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.

Lonza AG is looking for a QA Manager - Raw Materials Compliance who demonstrates dedication to lead our hard-working team in New Hampshire, USA. This challenging role involves providing strategic and tactical guidance, maintaining impeccable compliance and quality standards within our rapidly expanding organization. This is a Monday-Friday shift from 8:30am-4:30pm.
Key responsibilities:- Provide strategic, tactical, and objective leadership for the Quality Raw Materials staff
- Lead a team of Quality Raw Material Specialists, ensuring value stream objectives and timelines are met
- Hire, train, and retain energized, motivated, team-oriented staff
- Maintain scheduling and training of staff, prioritize workload, and ensure delivery dates are met
- Understand regulatory requirements and Lonza policies; ensure policies and procedures are appropriate and revise as necessary
- Ensure regulatory and customer inspection readiness; represent the department in audits
- Collaborate and prioritize with QC/QA leaders and other departments
- Develop technical, GMP, and leadership skills of Quality Raw Material personnel; perform mid-year and annual reviews
- Provide general direction, support, and act as a point of escalation for staff and customers
- Ensure objectives align with customer Quality Agreements, Lonza SOPs, and regulatory requirements
- Partner with internal customers to assess and resolve higher-risk issues with Change Controls, Deviations, CAPA, and Investigations
- Manage and track Key Performance Indicating Quality Metrics; report to senior site management
- Identify and implement improvements to quality processes
- Conduct regularly scheduled one-on-one and team meetings
- Support Regulatory and Customer Audits as needed
- Bachelor’s degree with 5-10 years of experience or a combination of education and equivalent experience
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards
- Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities
- Demonstrated experience in quality assurance within the life sciences industry
- Ability to assess and resolve complex quality issues successfully
