Insight Global is seeking a Construction Foreman to join a growing retail gas station and mobility convenience company near the energy corridor in Houston, TX. This is a direct hire salaried position. The Construction Foreman is the front line operational and safety leader. The duties of our construction foreman will vary; however, they can expect to be responsible for daily scheduling, supervising all activities and tasks, and ensuring the safety and compliance at the site. Ensure all required materials, equipment, and inspections occur to support the project schedule. Responsible for site safety. Ensure the overall jobsite is safe for workers and visitors as well as manage compliance with established company safety policies. Work with the project teams to forecast, and manage field personnel as well as management of labor, equipment, materials, tools, and other considerations. Prepare work plans and develop temporary facilities for the project. Understand, review, and manage project plans, specifications, and manufacturer's data and execute project based upon said documentation. Manage the overall project and 1 week look ahead schedules, including updating the schedule on a weekly basis. Review submittals for compliance with project manual and plans, manufacturer's recommendations and code, or other standards applicable to the system. Conduct preconstruction planning. Conduct on-site project meetings with contractors and construction trades lead personnel, holding contractors accountable. Manage contractors for all work performed on-site. Provide eyes on support for the project manager.

This position will coordinate job duties and delegate tasks to construction workers and sub-contractors. The position will work closely with construction managers, estimators and internal department to ensure jobs are completed on time. You will be a leader and help train more junior memebers of the crew. In this position you will not work a typical 8-5 shift. Hours may vary based on workload and customer need. You will be required to travel out of town for this position.
Essential Functions:
- Monitor and maintain schedules for workers and sub-contractors; make sure the best skills are applied by each worker and ensure product installation requirements are followed accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure all safe work practices are followed at all times. Ensure safe housekeeping practices are followed at all times.
- Brief crew members on daily tasks and direct workers on assigned tasks. Track rental equipment, material needs and use, monitor labor and sub-contractor costs to maintain project budgets. Verify accuracy and compliance of tasks in progress to comply with codes, project specifications and manufacturer requirements.
- Document daily activities, material/parts used, testing, inspections and visitors. Create and maintain positive working relationships with crew members, vendors, suppliers, and sub-contractors to maintain a timely flow of supplies, materials and sub-contractor work.
- Ability to travel to job sites.
- Must be able to operate heavy equipment to dig ditches and manually install equipment.
- Work with concrete, framing, pouring, mixing, and finishing.
- Maintain positive working relationships with crew members, vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure deadlines are met.
Experience, Competencies and Education
- High school diploma/GED
- 3-5 years construction experience running crews and sub-contractors. Preferabley Petroleum Construction.
- 40hr OSHA training is a plus.
- Equipment operation experience with operating Skid-Steer loaders, Min-x excavators and Rubber tire backhoes.
- Detail oriented.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must be a self-starter with strong leadership qualities.
- Ability to lift 75 -100 lbs.
- Ability to work outside during all types of weather.
